Sunrise of New City

In 2019, my mother-in-law, Adeline Simonetti moved into an apartment at Sunrise's Memory Care division. For four years, she welcomed into the Sunrise family where she was made to feel comfortable and was well cared for. We cannot say enough about the staff and the love they showed our mother. Namely, John, Rose C, Mary Rose, Vanitha, Maude, Barry, Czarina, Carmina, and of course the manager of the facility, Elizabeth. We were given regular updates and reports as to how Mom was doing, and we always felt as though she was in the best possible hands. Sunrise's standards for quality and care exceeded all of our concerns during this life transition for our family.

My mother was a memory care resident in Reminiscence for almost three years before she passed. My family could not be more pleased with the care she received. The staff was attentive, warm, kind and gentle with her and all of the residents. Staff members were skilled in getting her to eat and take her medication and, despite her limited ability to communicate, they were able to get a smile or a laugh from her often. We trusted them but, more importantly, she trusted them and we always knew she was getting the best possible care at Sunrise. The facility is clean, well-managed and beautifully maintained. I was there at least once a week for most of the day during my mother’s stay and found the caretakers (as well as administrators) to be helpful and pleasant and engaged with the residents. My mother always had everything she needed and in almost three years, she didn’t get sick and never needed to be hospitalized. I highly recommend this facility and will always be grateful that my Mom spent the last few years of her life in such a safe and loving environment.

My mom was at Sunrise for about a year and a half on the dementia floor. Sunrise is beautiful and immaculate and feels like home. My Mom’s room was always sparkling clean. My Mom used to say she thought she lived in a mansion! Scheduling a visit was never a problem and if I wanted to check in on my mom or Facetime with her, I would text a staff member and they would immediately respond. When Covid visitations lightened up, I visited about 3 times per week at various times of the day. The staff members are wonderful!!! They are extremely caring, loving, and attentive. I saw them care for my mom and other residents. They have the utmost respect and patience for the residents. My Mom passed away peacefully at Sunrise surrounded by the most caring people I know. I will be forever grateful to my Sunrise family for being the angels that they are. Thank you so much Sunrise!

We want to thank the staff of Sunrise for taking such good care of our mother who spent over 2 years. My mother was very happy here and felt safe and well cared for her. It is a n excellent facility with caring and professional staff. Our family highly recommends this facility and will always be grateful for the staff that gave our mother excellent care and treated her with dignity and kindness

I could not be happier or more at peace knowing My dad is at Sunrise in New City. From the moment I walked in, it felt like home and had such an upbeat vibe. It’s simple, the staff genuinely care, the care plan they put together for my dad is perfectly suited to his needs and it is beautiful and super clean. On top of that, the food is delicious! Me, my husband and my two puppies look forward to our visits and always feel welcome and comfortable. There is no such thing as perfect, but Sunrise comes pretty close. I have built wonderful relationships with the staff and feel very comfortable discussing any requests or changes. Most importantly, my father loves it. I can’t say enough, it’s changed our lives in the most positive way. Happy Daughter
