The Cordwainer

We recently moved our aunt to The Cordwainer from a nursing home out of state so she could be closer to family. At the previous community, they didn’t offer much for the residents to do, and she spent most of her days sleeping. After only a few days at The Cordwainer, we saw such a positive change—she was smiling, engaged, and excited to participate in all the wonderful activities offered each day. The staff is so kind and caring; it truly feels like she’s being taken care of by family. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to bring her here.

The Cordwainer is what all memory care facilities should aspire to. My father was moved here nearly a year ago with moderate Alzheimer's. Fairly young and pretty healthy but no short term memory and no longer safe at home by himself. Having had a mother in a different facility, I was well versed in what I didn't want for him. The Cordwainer is a truly magical place. They made my father feel at home, almost immediately, and he is thriving. He went from sitting home alone to participating in countless activities, outings, conversing, and has his spark back. I could not be happier with the care he is receiving.

I could not recommend the Cordwainer enough. From the moment we moved my grandmother in we were at peace knowing she was not only well taken care of, but also cared about by staff and residents alike. She was happy to be there. Even after her passing we continued to receive support from all the staff. We are thankful for everyone at the Cordwainer for being so caring and supportive throughout the years.

My wife has been a resident of Cordwainer for over 2 yrs and have been extremely pleased with her life there. The staff is excellent and the facility is meticulously maintained. You could not do better

The Cordwainer is a remarkable place. Our Mom and Dad moved there from another community, and the care they receive at the Cordwainer is unmatched. Recently our Dad passed, and the entire team at the Cordwainer wrapped their arms around our Mom. Everyone involved in her care, to a person, showed a wonderful level of expertise and compassion. The approach at the Cordwainer to function as a seamless team to support the residents and their families makes daily life much easier for all of us. We know Mom will miss our Dad very much, but we are comforted to know she is in such a caring and skilled environment. Our family can't say enough about everyone at the Cordwainer.
