Brookdale Canopy Oaks

Absolutely wonderful assisted living community! The staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel like family. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. It’s such a comfort knowing my dad is in a safe, caring environment where he’s treated with kindness and respect every day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that genuinely feels like home!

I'm very disappointed in the food at Brookdale Canopy Oaks. I have spoken several times with the chef, and manager, and NOTHING has improved. No excuse for the poor quality meals and service. Also, there is no transportation for the residents to go anywhere. There used to be a transport service to take residents to restaurants, food shopping and go on outings and events. This service has been unavailable for over a year! The facility has raised their rates! We should get a reimbursement for the lack of services. Management changes all the time, no full time permanent staff, all temporary, I wonder why? I'm very disappointed. I expected more from a Brookdale facility.

ALL of the staff was OUTSTANDING with the extremely stressful process of moving my mom into this facility. After one month we have no regrets and my mom has adjusted very well. Everyone seems to truly enjoy their job. I would highly recommend this facility. UPDATE - It’s been almost 6 months and we still have no regrets. No place is perfect. The difference with Brookdale however is that they take care of whatever issue is brought to their attention. The staff here are the shining stars. They genuinely care for their residents. While leaving the facility today I saw one of the staff give a resident big warm hug. This is what makes Brookdale so special. They make everyone (including family members of residents) feel like family. SECOND UPDATE - We are approaching 4 years that my mother has been living at Brookdale Canopy Oaks. There have been many staff changes over the years but they always seem to find people who genuinely care about the residents. Some of the staff still remains from 2019. There have been ups and downs but overall we are very satisfied. Since I live close by I am at Brookdale several times a week. Most of the staff knows that I take my mothers care and happiness very seriously. The activities and entertainment are great for the residents as well as the occasional outings. On numerous occasions my mother has said that she is happy at Brookdale and that she does not miss living in her old home.

My father-in-law called Brookdale Canopy Oaks his home for 5 years.During this time he was in assisted living and Memory care. He was very happy there and felt as though he was surrounded by friends. How amazing is that he felt such an emotional bond to his neighbors! We are blessed he knew such peace and comfort at a senior living community. The extraordinary loving care from the staff is more than any family could ever want for their loved ones. We live nearby and visited daily so we were in and out at random times and witnessed for ourselves such care. They kept in touch with us and communicated and issues with him 24/7. We became an extended family. He earned his wings a few short weeks ago so I wanted to reach out to others that may find themselves looking for an extended family for their mom or dad. Look no further than Brookdale Canopy Oaks!

Our mother is in Memory Care at Brookdale Canopy Oaks. She receives excellent care from a kind and compassionate staff. The staff has great knowledge and understanding of dementia and Alzheimer disease. We have full trust in the staff that they are giving our mother the excellent care that she deserves. -Pam and Callie
