Brookdale Oklahoma City Southwest

I never worry about leaving dad here .. Everyone ( staff ) care for my dad …Great food geared to dads special needs . Facility always clean.. My concerns, if any, are addressed quickly .. Staff , nurse , and maintenance good to work with .

The staff at Brookdale South is just like family. They always have the best interest of the patient at heart. The facility is clean, cheerful. The family nights they host they host are great and give the residents special time to interact with others. I looked at a lot of places before deciding on this facility and would say it is the best. My friend used to be home alone with no interaction except from his neighbor and me. Lonely and now he is here , clean happy and enjoying people and eating three meals a day and actually smiling a lot which he never did before. The staff is amazing. Highly recommend this facility.

I moved my mom there 6 months ago and she seems to be doing well with the adjustment. She smiles at the staff and is eating better than at the other place. I think the staff is very attentive to her and the other residents. If I ever have a question come up, I just talk to the staff and it gets addressed promptly. The staff really cares about the residents' well being. The staff is always working on activities for the residents and they really seem to enjoy themselves. The support group for caregivers is also helpful. All in all, I am very happy that I made the move for mama and wish I had done it sooner. Thank you staff for helping me realize I made the right choice.

My mom has been at Brookdale Oklahoma City Southwest for two years now. My brother and I selected it because of its homey atmosphere; not too big and not too little. I have been very pleased with the administration and caregivers! They all genuinely seem to care for the residents. The first year was a learning experience for me just dealing with a loved one with dementia and they also had to learn what stimulated my mom's memory. She loves music and dancing! There is hymn singing every Thursday at 1:00 and a faithful gentleman, Kurt, comes in and leads the music. If mom is hurting from all the weather changes, the music always lifts her spirits! When they have parties, family gathering, or just someone playing or singing impromptu, my mom probably will start to dance. I discovered from her living at Brookdale that my mom was and still is quite a dancer (jitterbug, etc.) I love seeing this side of her! I would definitely recommend Brookdale Oklahoma City Southwest to others. The family atmosphere, care, activities, food, and fun are many reasons to seek it out for a loved one. My Dad has been at Brookdale for 2 yrs. Their staff is so caring and compassionate with all their residents. They have activities everyday and they try to get all the residents involved. If you are looking for a Memory Care place for your loved one I would highly recommend this faculty.
