Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens

I want to take a moment to recognize Michael James and Ashley Dubay and the Brookdale staff for the outstanding support they provided in relocating my dear friend to Independent Living at Brookdale in Palm Beach Gardens. From the very beginning, they handled every detail with professionalism, compassion, and genuine care. They not only facilitated the move seamlessly but also went above and beyond to ensure my friend felt comfortable, respected, and truly welcomed into her new community. It is rare to find a team that combines efficiency with such heartfelt compassion.

I’m in the beginning stages of looking for assisted living for my aunt. It’s a lot to digest. Brookdale at PBG is a beautiful facility with many amenities. I sat down with Michael James who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. His knowledge and compassion for this community were abundant and genuine. It was a very positive experience during a very stressful time.

I joined the community at the beginning of 2024 and the TEAM has come a long way! Brookdale is a beautiful building and property setback in a great Palm Beach Gardens location close to shopping and restaurants. There is a gorgeous walking trail beyond the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi area with garden beds that make you feel like you are on a historic nature path. While the talented team in each of their departments are working hard to keep up with the growing community, there are some specific individuals besides my own caring team Corey and Jill that I enjoy showing off to any visits and they include our resident services Director Aimee, our Memory Care Coordinator Madison, and Kareem, Duhane, Kevin of the Dining team. It is clear their passion to serve and make a difference goes ABOVE and beyond their job description. Brookdale residents are HAPPY and smiling every day and that at the end of the day is all that matters!

Brookdale Senior Living is one of the most poorly managed facilities I’ve ever encountered. There is a clear lack of structure, accountability, and adequate staffing. Residents are often left waiting for basic needs to be met, and it’s obvious the staff is overwhelmed and unsupported. It’s heartbreaking to witness such disorganization in a place meant to care for vulnerable seniors. To make matters worse, Aimee Paris who appears to hold a leadership or public facing role openly speaks negatively about the facility, even during tours. I've personally heard her say things like, “This place is crazy,” and “I don’t know what’s going on here,” in front of potential residents and their families. This is beyond unprofessional and sends a very clear message: if even the staff have no confidence in the place, why should anyone else? Her dismissive attitude is unacceptable and, at times, comes across as racially biased something deeply disturbing in a care environment that should be inclusive, respectful, and compassionate to all. I also want to express that I do not appreciate that my previous review was removed. I will be escalating this matter to the appropriate people to ensure it is not ignored. Transparency is vital, especially when families are making important decisions for their loved ones. As long as Aimee Paris is associated with this facility, I will absolutely not be bringing any of my family members here. Brookdale needs serious leadership changes and accountability before it should even be considered a safe or trustworthy option.

Finding Brookdale in Palm Beach Gardens has been such a blessing for my parents (& me and my husband)! I began touring several different Senior Living Communities from those with waterfront views in Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Beach Gardens so that I could get a feel for what life could be like for my parents (after a year of health issues and decline in quality of life for them at home) and once I walked inside and met Jill McDowell who took me on an amazing tour and explained all of the unknowns of this journey I found myself in, I knew this was where my mom and dad would thrive again! We all came back for a tour on St Patrick’s Day, when they had a great afternoon lunch and party planned, and they decided to move in! They have been there a month now, and are thriving again, enjoying activities that are scheduled, going to breakfast and dinner so mom doesn’t have to cook (but she can if she wants to), taking the transport to go shopping or signing up for mini golf tournaments and chair aerobics! They are in Independent Living but have help as they need it if Assisted Living becomes necessary. My dad finally realized getting a scooter will help him even more to get around better than with his walker while keeping him from suffering with his bad knee and shoulder (at almost 89, he is no longer a candidate for any knee replacement surgery). The plan was always to age in place at home but the reality set in that it was no longer safe and their quality of life was looking pretty dreary! Staying social at this time in life was also so important for their quality of life and they were no longer doing things that made them happy. I highly recommend BROOKDALE in Palm Beach Gardens for anyone looking into Senior Living for their loved ones! And once you meet Jill and all of the other amazing staff who get to know the residents and treat them so well, and see how happy the residents are, you’ll see for yourself what makes this place so special! My hope for them is that they continue to enjoy their life again and can stay healthy enough to do that while having support when I can’t be there for them.
