Palm's Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care
Palm's Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care
Palm's Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care is a licensed assisted living facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, specializing in memory care services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Florida Assisted Living Facilities range from small residential homes to large communities. Facilities may hold specialty licenses for Limited Nursing Services (LNS), Extended Congregate Care (ECC), or Limited Mental Health (LMH).
Palm's Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care has a licensed capacity of 65 residents. Services typically include assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating), medication management, meals, housekeeping, laundry, social and recreational activities, transportation, and 24-hour staff availability. Some facilities offer specialized memory care.
Who We Serve: Assisted Living Facilities serve older adults and people with disabilities who need help with daily activities but do not require the 24-hour skilled nursing care provided in nursing homes.
Memory Care Services: This facility offers specialized memory care services, including staff trained in dementia care techniques, activity programming designed for cognitive engagement, and appropriate safety measures. When evaluating memory care options, families should consider staff training, staff-to-resident ratios, security features, and the approach to managing behavioral symptoms.
Licensing: Typically licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Payment Options: In Florida, Medicaid may help pay for assisted living through the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care Program. Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Florida Agency for Health Care Administration or visit https://ahca.myflorida.com/medicaid/statewide_mc/smmc_ltc.shtml to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. Wait lists are common for waiver programs, so applying early is recommended.
Families researching assisted living options should verify the facility's current license status, review any inspection reports, and schedule a visit to assess whether the environment and services meet their loved one's needs. You can verify this facility's license and view inspection reports at Florida's facility search. For more information about assisted living regulations in Florida, visit Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

My mother was discharged because the facility couldn’t manage her behavior during a dementia-related episode. Throughout her short stay—less than two months—she was frequently moved from room to room and spent the majority of her time hospitalized. Despite this, they still collected payment and ultimately informed us she could not return. There was also a serious incident where she became extremely lethargic while waiting for dinner in the dining room. Her blood pressure dropped dangerously low, below 80/60. I immediately notified the only nurse on the floor at the time, but she told me I had to wait for my mother’s assigned nurse to return. Fearing for her safety, I called an ambulance myself; otherwise, she could have collapsed or worse. Sadly, most of the staff seemed unwilling to help. However, there was one exceptional nurse who truly stood out, though I unfortunately don’t remember her name.
Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care's staff and Administrators are second to none. The facility is well maintained and very comfortable for any family member who needs memory care or assistance in every day life. I highly recommend this facility in Palm Beach County, Florida.
This is a horrible facility. It is dirty and crawling with roaches - even in the beds. It is old and dingy, needing a lot of maintenance and refurbishment. I can go on with a litany of things that happened to my loved one there, with me living in another state and not being able to keep an eye on what was going on there, but they are too many to list. Suffice it to say that Palms Edge should not be trusted with any aspect of care for your loved one - cleanliness, medications, finances, mental health, nutrition or physical well being. The management is arrogant and condescending. They have their fiefdom and are happy milking it (along with state and federal programs such as Medicare and Medicaid) for all it is worth. Horrid place.
If you care about the well-being of a loved one, STAY AWAY. It seems like the staff needs a refresher on what their responsibilities actually are. Actually…they need to be fired and never allowed to work in the industry. You have to be morally devoid to think what’s happening there is normal. Absolutely sickening place. Also, their staff rates their own business. Really?
Palms Edge Assisted Living is one of the nicest communities in the area. The food is amazing and the staff is caring and compassionate. They offer affordable memory care as well.
