Lookout Mountain Assisted Living Home

Ten years back we placed my mother in the care of Lookout Mountain Assisted Living. My father would visit her just about every day. He was completely satisfied with the level of care that Myra, Art and the staff provided, along with the kindness shown to him especially at the time of her passing. When the time came that my father was not able to live on his own we placed him in the care of Lookout Mountain Assisted Living. He received the same exception level of care from the first day there through his passing this July. I would highly recommend Lookout Mountain Assisted Living for the exception level of care and compassion that Myra, Art and all the staff provide. They were easy to contact and were able to answer any question or concerns I had during both of my parents stays at their facility. Lookout Mountain was my mother’s home for 7 years. She moved in while still ambulatory and remained until receiving compassionate end of life care. Myra and Art Deboda provide an outstanding safe, clean, healthy and loving environment for each and everyone of their residents. They treat every resident as an individual addressing each need as they arise--whether it is specific doctor care, dietary needs and desires, comfort, stimulation and entertainment needs. Because I lived out of state I visited my mother 3-4 times a year but I probably spoke with Mayra at least 2-3 times a month on the phone to receive status updates and discuss Mother’s needs as her health declined. Important to me was the home environment. The home maintained excellent cleanliness standards and the caregivers were consistent and responsible. The home was always well maintained and the lovely decor of Lookout Mountain made you feel comfortable and homey. On several occasions we invited guests to the home and the living room was always a lovely setting to host a visit. My mother’s room reflected her history and cherished personal items. The primary caregivers, Jolie and Zaney, were with my mother the entire time, they attended her personal care and hygiene daily. I highly recommend the loving and compassionate Lookout Mountain Assisted Living Home for any parent and our family is eternally grateful for the excellent care they provided. We have all heard stories of assisted care facilities. This home is a home for your loved one who needs help with their daily life. Art and Myra are kind, caring and loving. Myra is an RN and stays on top of the medical issues for each resident. Art is a former Army officer and gentle person who is always ready to help people. Our family has had three loved ones call this their home. We could not have been more satisfied with the care provided. Besides caring for the residents they are always ready to console the whole family at difficult moments.

My mom, Lucy, stayed in the care of Lookout Mtn. for over 6 years. My brothers and I knew she was in an environment that was safe, loving, fun, and active! Myra and Art are caring owners who put their residents first. We also appreciated that Myra was a nurse. The very best of my mother's care was JoeJoe! He and my mom formed a bond that was a joy to watch. I have recommended Lookout Mtn. to others, and they have been equally satisfied with the care to their family member.

I have only great things to say about Lookout Mountain Assisted Living. My bedridden wife could not have been more lovingly cared for during the more than seven years she was there. Though my wife could not speak or respond in any way, she was treated with kindness and concern. I will always be grateful to Myra and her staff. Absolutely great.
