Look for maria krop!!! She is the best and happiest worker ever I went to visit my father, and she brought happiness and joy to me and my father. I think her for the way she does things for my father and other people.

I finally had time off to visit my mother in law. I have not been to this location yet so I was a bit skeptical. I came during lunch time and I have to admit my whole prospective towards an independent living community has changed. The staff is amazing. I always considered the food like prison food but they definitely changed my mind the food was amazing, looked very fresh and very tasteful. The food service director was walking around greeting others making sure the food was to their liking even stopped at our table and noticed I was new to the facility which made me feel important. During lunch the kitchen staff made it feel like a family setting vs just a cafeteria get your food and go. I’m so glad and relieved my mother in law is at this location and I plan on visiting more often

Shout out to such an amazing senior independent living for the community of Portland, TX. Beautiful rooms to live in with great services included and amazing staff who knows how to take care of their residents. I highly recommend taking a tour right away. Also, big shout out to Kimberly she is always available to help with any of your needs in the community. Very friendly with a great atmosphere.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. The food is very good and served promptly. Cannot say enough about the AWESOME staff. Big KUDOS to All Brookdale Staff and Mgmt for your great assistance during my recent visit to ER. My family and I consider Brookdale my home and feel fortunate to be here. May God bless all.

Food service and housekeeping are excellent. Yards and public areas are clean and well kept. However...when asked to perform tasks for which management is clearly responsible, they responded that I should have a family member do the work.
