I have had wonderful experiences here at Sunrise of Raleigh with so many staff members. The latest part time staff member was Lorraine. (My mother had Covid for a bit and was very well taken care of by everyone attending to her). I came by to check on mom and bring some items to her. Lorraine greeted me at the front desk and made sure I wore a mask, took me to mom’s room and ordered her dinner to be brought to her room. She followed up on the meal delivery to keep things on track. I wanted to know what medicines she was taking so I asked Lorraine to check for me so I would know. She did everything I asked with a smile and promptness. On my way out she checked me out and took down notes of what she was to follow up on for me, read them back and asked if there was anything else I needed? All with a smile and she just fills in every now and then. Surprised me! I thought she was full time and just hadn’t met her yet. Very friendly, professional and I’m relieved and happy to have such a caring place for my mom. A. Johnson
Community is beautiful and well maintained. Management, sales and other employees are helpful, friendly and will address any needs or concerns you may have regarding your loved one who is a resident. Will, the activity coordinator is amazing with the residences and helps put a smile on faces that sometimes need a little cheering up. Food is just OK at this point. I think they are working on improving it.
I live out of town, so every time I am able to visit grandmother I can tell that everyone there loves and cares for her with how happy she is here. They’re so sweet, makes sure she exercises and the other residents also enjoy playing bingo with her! Very grateful for this facility and how fun of an environment it is for her.
My client seems happy here. The staff is good Kevin and Devontae are excellent. The residents seemed well kept and looked good. The premises is well secured so the residents are kept safe. The rooms and common areas are clean and nicely decorated. I would recommend this facility.
We have had a very positive experience at Sunrise during my mother’s stay. The staff are consistently warm and friendly to the residents and family. Gwen, the RN, is wonderful and goes beyond the call of duty to meet the needs of residents. She helped us on several occasions with different issues and was always so pleasant to deal with. On the Memory Care unit there are two activities directors, Samantha and Christopher who are great and are so engaged with the residents. They provide meaningful activities to keep the residents happy, the activities exceeded are expectations! Family members are always welcome to join their loved ones and it makes the visits even more interactive with my mother who has dementia. Audria, the Executive Director was wonderful to deal with. She was on top of things and really listened to any concerns we had and helped resolve them quickly. The Care Managers (aides) on the Memory Unit were always so pleasant to deal with and really took the time to get to know my mother. The residents are always given a choice of foods for each meal, so there is always something they can eat. The new renovations are beautiful and the extended parking lot is super helpful for guests and staff. My father visited for hours every day, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder to him! Great attitudes from staff from the top down!
