Mattis Pointe - Assisted Living by Americare

Americare is truly one big family! We as a whole go above and beyond to make our residents, their families and visitors feel truly welcomed. Our residents eat nutrient balanced foods that are very delicious. The residents attend daily exercise groups, they are always doing fun arts and crafts things and Even weekly outing trips!! We even have a store for our residents to attend once a month. Our Certified medication techs as well as our patient care aides provide exceptional care around the clock. I whole heartily belive that I have 32 grandparents that I absolutely love and adore!! It a wonderful place to work!! 10/10 I recommend Mattis point by Americare.

My Dad lived there for about four months and it was such a wonderful experience for him. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make the new guy feel comfortable with his new surrounding. Always a smile on their face to help make the day a little better for my dad. I would highly recommend Mattis Pointe based off of our experience.

My mom recently moved into Mattis Pointe Assisted Living. It is the nicest assisted living community I have seen. Every staff member is friendly and goes out of their way to make her feel welcome. It is beautifully decorated and fairly small, which makes it easier for my mom to find her way around. It reminds me of an upscale boutique hotel. The price was right in line or lower than similar places we looked, but it is MUCH nicer, partly because it is so new. We are very happy with our choice.

During my husband’s ten month stay at Mattis Pointe Memory Care, he received great care, with engaging, varied activities in a beautiful environment. It was comforting to know that he was in good hands with a kind staff which is why I was heart broken when asked to move because his care become too hard for the staff to handle. Some of his behaviors that were difficult for staff was wandering and resistance to care; typical behaviors for those suffering from dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s and which a Memory Care Community should be prepared to handle. If you are comfortable with the understanding that Mattis Pointe may not be your family member’s forever home, then Mattis Pointe is a good choice. I suggest that in your decision making process that you ask very specific questions regarding fee structure and care level. Although I was very diligent, I felt Mattis Pointe deceived me. I also recommend that you have a back up plan in the event that your loved one is asked to move. I hope this review is helpful and best of luck to all on this difficult journey.
