Brookdale North Scottsdale

Brookdale North Scottsdale has been an excellent senior living facility for my brother. The staff is very caring and knowledgeable. The facility itself is lovely, well kept and comfortable. Staff made the move to Brookdale easy for my brother. The staff went out of their way to meet my brother when he arrived, and still today they take time to chat with him casually every time they see him.

I thoroughly enjoyed specific people in management. Shawn the ED is extremely supportive and she was the entire time I was there she truly takes pride in what she does. Osviany was a pure joy for me does her job well and was so nice, Lisa who is no longer DON was just awesome! Donald Don such a thorough hard working intelligent person and I overly respected what he does and how he does it. SALES!! Your amazing and your my cup of tea. I didn't get to know anyone too well but most of the management team I honestly enjoyed. I left for personal reasons but for anyone seeing this this building has The HAPPIEST MOST SATISFIED RESIDENTS I've ever met. Nothing is ever perfect but happy residents is a rarity and it's here. (Not a fan of the kitchen staff sorry) food is decent and Enesa was phenomenal and the best cook back there.

I have lived here for about a year and a half now and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The people are the kindest people I’ve ever met and there’s always something to do. The place is truly clean and the food is excellent! The people that work here work their butts off and I want to give them the biggest thumbs up especially Elissa I am one of the youngest persons that lives here as I am 53 years old yet I seem to just mesh with people that are a little bit older than me. If you’re looking to stay here, please come because I promise you will enjoy it!

My aunt has needs not being met. She has requested to have follow up from their mobile dentists. We have asked over times over last 6 months. They often do not follow medical instructions. For example I left instructions no food after 10pm the night prior. In the morning day of surgery they gave her a banana there response as to why was because my aunt said she was hungry. My aunt is supposed to use a walker with assistance to the dining room, she is told daily they don't have time, therefore she is taken via wheelchair. with proper care she could easily get back to walking and be more independent, but because they don't help her get stronger they must do these extras which are all charged to her monthly in addition to her regular monthly costs.

I just got settled at Brookdale Scottsdale and am very disappointed at this place. Management is inept. I had some personal items thrown away. Management was aware of this and never contacted me to understand what actually happened. It’s a weekly struggle to get my medication correctly. They are sorely understaffed. I’m going to talk to my daughter to see about moving to a better facility.
