I just can’t say enough about the professionalism and dedication that I have witnessed from the entire staff at Bridgewater assisted living from the moment my mom and I did our first tour. We could get a sense at this place is different from most assisted living and trust me, I have tour most of them in Tucson. The heart and soul of that place is a woman named Lorell, from my research, she has an astonishing reputation in the assisted-living community circle was the main reason why we chose Bridgewater? She is a person who actually cares about you can every client and I do feel that she would do this job for free she is great and amazing and there should be more people in the world like her!!! The facilities are clean as well as there is a French chef who cooks amazing food. I’m looking very forward to having my mom join the community. I am excited for her to get involved in the multitude of activities that they offer their clients. I would highly recommend Bridgewater and the entire community for your loved one.
I have mixed feelings about Bridgewater. The community itself is clean, and over time I’ve seen the staff make efforts to improve. My mother has lived here for a while, and during that time she has had four different Assisted Living Directors. The most recent director, Robert, was the first to truly gain my trust. His nursing background, hands-on approach, and genuine care for the residents made a noticeable difference. When my mom fell, he was the first one at her room, and we felt reassured knowing he was in charge. We were very pleased with both Robert and Lorell. Robert was actively hiring and training staff to build stronger relationships with the residents, and it showed. Unfortunately, his unexpected removal has changed things significantly. Since then, staff follow-through has declined. My mother requires assistance with showers because of her fall risk, yet the staff repeatedly forget to help her. She went more than a week without receiving a shower, which left her upset and understandably disappointed. When I brought up these concerns, the new director did not seem eager to help or address the issue. Bridgewater has potential, and with the right leadership it can be a great community. But the recent changes have made a negative impact. For the sake of the residents, I truly hope they consider bringing back Robert or someone with the same level of dedication and care.
We have always been very impressed with the care at Bridgewater. The facility is among the best we have encountered. We were disappointed to hear that the management had changed, but were extremely encouraged after our first meeting with Robert, the newly appointed director. His was enthusiastic, personable and highly qualified to handle the transition. In short, we were fully satisfied that Bridgewater was in good hands. Unfortunately, the new management let Robert go with no notice. We are very shocked that he was terminated in this manner. This does not forecast anything positive for the facility if this is their mode of management. Bring Robert back, he can make the facility the best again.
I am very disappointed in the Bridgewater assisted living facility on La cholla in tucson az They have a couple of great caretakers who are above and beyond. Just recently they hired a new director and he was so caring, had time for residents, he was the best director that has been there throughout my mother's care there. His Name was Robert and he was so genuine and was also a nurse by trade so he understood and had a heart for the residents. We were stunned and disgusted by his firing. Right before the holidays they decide to let go of the person who was actively trying to make the facility a better place for the residents, staff and us family members. I saw the new director yesterday on his first day and he showed no interest in introducing himself or being engaging towards anyone. Not friendly or even hospitable. This change is going to be a very negative impact for all involved. I know that the facility has new owners and maybe their main interest is in making money or a business opportunity. Shame that the elderly and their caretakers are going to miss out on Roberts leadership, personality, compassion, heart for service, and his vision. He spoke about his vision to make Bridgewater a facility that residents could call home, staff could know they were appreciated and that families like myself would have peace of mind for our loved ones. Honestly this is a horrible thing that they did. We will probably never know what reason they choose to hide behind but it's definitely having a negative impact on many.. Bring Robert back.
I'm so grateful for all the wonderful care amd attention Bridgewater Assisted Living has given my client. Lorell at Bridgewater has been so supportive and responsive from the start.
