When my dad's assisted living facility suddenly raised his rent and cost of care to more than he could afford, our family was placed in the position of having to find a placement for him in a hurry. We visited a number of care facilities in Ukiah and were delighted to discover Holy Child Residential Care Home (Canyon View)! Residents and staff all welcomed our visit warmly. Everyone seemed comfortable and the home was cheerfully decorated and very clean. My dad 95-year-old lived and received loving care at Holy Child (we also call it Canyon View based on the address) for eleven months before finally succumbing to a long-term illness. He enjoyed the food and communal meals and the company of other residents tremendously. For as long as he was able, Dad went for regular outdoor walks with a caregiver and one or more residents. He was also able to attend the Ukiah Senior Center engaging in activities and lunch with other seniors. Will and Caitlin and the rest of the crew make sure residents are as active as they care to be or can be Our family was kept apprised of our dad's condition with frequent phone calls or texts and I experienced great peace of mind knowing that his caregivers were paying close and caring attention to my dad. I can't say enough good about how wonderful the care at Holy Child/Canyon View has been for our dad. I would recommend Holy Child/Canyon View to anyone needing to place a parent or other senior loved one in need of care.
Holy Child Staff are attentive to physical and emotional needs of the residents. It’s a happy atmosphere there. I feel welcome when I visit my mother-in-law, and I know I and family members/friends can visit any time.
