I would not recommend Cadance Assisted Living based on my experience. The level of care and attention to residents is far below what is promised. Staff often seemed overwhelmed, unresponsive, and at times even dismissive of residents’ needs. Communication with families is very poor — updates are inconsistent, and it often feels like you have to chase them down just to get basic information. The facility itself might look nice on the surface, but behind the scenes, the environment does not feel nurturing or supportive. Meals were often late or lacking in quality, and cleanliness in common areas was not maintained consistently. For a place that charges as much as they do, I expected professionalism, compassion, and a higher standard of care, but unfortunately, that was not the case. If you are looking for a safe, attentive, and truly caring environment for your loved one, I strongly suggest exploring other options before considering Cadance.
Our experience at Cadence at Wake Forest was incredible due to their communication and responsiveness. The staff were very personable and genuine with us and our mother. They actively try to engage each resident, which helped our mother to become part of the Cadence family.
My father had been at The Carillon (now Cadence) for almost five years. He recently passed away but we couldn’t of had him in a better place. He was extremely happy here and the staff always treated him with caring kindness. It is always a hard decision to put your loved one in a facility. There is reassurance for our family that his last years were very happy. Our father was a big eater and loved the food. It is now even better since Cadence took over. All in all a good experience and we would definitely recommend.❤️
I love the activities director at Cadence! She sets up wonderful art and music experiences that the residents enjoy together. It's a great time of bonding but it also helps with stress reduction and keeps their minds active in regard to socialization and critical thinking.
My wife and I spent New Year’s Eve on the telephone trying to locate an acceptable Assisted Living facility for my mother. Ideally, we were looking for a good facility near our home but more importantly, one where my mother would be happy and well cared for by the staff. Together, we called 20 locations in the greater Raleigh area and only found two which were available and accepting new residents. All the others had active Covid cases, were not accepting new residents due to Covid, or were simply non-responsive. Cadence Wake Forest and Cadence North Raleigh both came highly recommended by the Executive Director of another facility. We picked the Wake Forest location as we were most impressed with the overall appearance, the Community Relations Director (Elsja) and the Executive Director (Mark). Thankfully, all the staff at this facility have turned out to be pleasant and helpful. Mom says: “Everyone here is really nice.” Despite very strict Covid protocols, the staff here have helped my mother adjust from living alone to enjoying a clean and comfortable community lifestyle. Mom couldn’t be happier and neither could we. Five stars!
