Brookdale West Palm Beach

We got the pleasure of joining the group on an outing to Jupiter Inlet. Grandma really seemed to enjoy it! The Activities Director and Staff were so attentive, thoughtful and kind to everyone who participated! Our hearts are full knowing Grandma gets to have experiences like this! A big thank you to the Director and all the staff!

My Father passed away in his apartment and was not found for at least a whole day. Upon being found it took all day for him to be removed from the apartment. There was no police report or incident report given to us. He was found face down in his apartment and there was no clean up initiated. Upon visiting a week later to begin packing of his belongings my sister and I walk into the blood trail that was his last moments of life. It was so traumatic to see and to think that a week later they acknowledged knowing there was a pool of blood that he was found in was dried and they had nothing planned to clean it. We had to confront them to get cleaning done so we could even go into the apartment. Not to mention the manager didn’t even know the cleaning policy for accidental deaths on their property! It’s a pure shame and a hard way to see your loved one’s memories and last moments.

They don’t serve the meals she asks for as there are things she can’t chew. She also can’t drink orange juice but they keep giving her it anyway. Most of the desserts are not there. They give her notice about events but dates or time. They don’t always provide transportation to events as she is in a wheelchair

My mother has been in assisted living at this Brookdale for 2 1/2 years. I am there frequently, and the staff has been amazing in meeting her needs. My mom is happy and at home there. I appreciate that there is not a big turnover in nursing and cna staff. We get to know the ladies that take care of mom and it is a comfort that they truly care about her. The activities director for assisted living does a fantastic job in keeping mom engaged and encouraging her to participate in crafts and special events. The new executive director has been absolutely amazing… responding quickly and kindly to any needs that arise. Thank you! Kudos to the Resident Services Director and Health and Wellness Director for assisted living. They, along with the other staff have also been professional and quick to respond to needs. Thank you all!

Good value and very nice friendly staff. Very attentive. Good size apartments, lovely balcony. However, the bathrooms are not designed for an elderly or disabled person. Very small. Difficult for someone to assist resident with showering not enough room for two people. Food quality and menu variety could use some improving. Lots of different activities and services provided.
