STROUDWATER LODGE

Moving our mom out of the home where she and our father raised their four children was one of the hardest decisions our family has ever made. Like many seniors, she wasn’t ready to leave a place filled with so many memories. We first moved her into a facility we truly believed would meet her needs, but it quickly became clear that it wasn’t the right fit. Soon, we found ourselves starting the search all over again. Choosing Stroudwater Lodge in Westbrook, Maine has been a blessing for our mom and for our entire family. Since moving in, she has made many new friends and genuinely enjoys the community. She absolutely loves the staff—they treat her with warmth, respect, and genuine care. The food is great, and she often tells us about the meals and conversations she shares with others. Most importantly, the level of care she receives has given my siblings and me the peace of mind we had been looking for. We finally feel confident that she is not only safe, but truly supported and comfortable in her new home. We are incredibly grateful to the Stroudwater Lodge team for making such a difficult transition so much easier for all of us.

My grandmother feels at home and in great company at Stroudwater lodge. Special attention to the excellent service, nursing, care and resident engagement staff. A full schedule for residents all week long and great food for residents and visitors. The in residents concerts and holiday events are a treat!

Moving our parents into Stroudwater Lodge has been life-changing for our family. The loving patience and respect that the staff show every day allows us to relax and pay attention to the things that really matter. It is great to know that mom and dad are in a clean safe environment and have access to wonderful meals and contact with the other residents and supportive staff members. The variety of activities and the bright clean comfortable facility allow our parents to participate in things that they would not have access to if they were still living in their condo.

Our parents have lived at Stroudwater Lodge since August 2024. Their apartment is lovely and the staff has been supportive and friendly. There is always something going on to liven up their day, Having a community to support the spouse who is caring for their loved one with advancing dementia has been a game changer in keeping our parents together as long as possible. We will always be thankful for the time that they spent at Stroudwater Lodge.

Stroudwater Lodge is truly a loving and vibrant community. Our clients — and even friends with parents living there — have shared so many positive experiences. The staff are caring and attentive, the food is consistently amazing, and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. It’s wonderful to see such a welcoming environment where residents genuinely feel at home. I love checking in on our dearest clients who've moved in and hearing how happy they are with their move. Also love getting to see them when we visit for events there!
