Worst managed agency ever. They were supposed to be providing home health after my mother was discharged from the hospital after surgery for a broken arm. It took them weeks to even send someone and there were only two people who were worth having. One nurse came in and started making proclamations about what she thought mom needed and how she was going to call her doctor. At one point, we shut the whole thing down because it was useless. If I could give zero stars I would.

This company is very unprofessional. I am a caregiver & my client was referred to this company after a trip to the hospital but I cannot think of a single thing that was of help to her, on top of being difficult to work with. For starters, they had incorrect information on my clients health that was from 6 months prior. Even after getting all of the information updated on the first visit, each time a worker came over the information still had to be corrected. My client often had no idea when workers were coming over or they showed up hours early or late with no notice. When it came to scheduling, they claim that they don't know anything in advance- when a home visit will be, until the evening before. After some frustration & pressing for information, I was able to get one of the home visit workers to give the upcoming days of appointments, just not the time. although this was helpful so my client could plan out her life, it was very frustrating with the amount of people who said things like "that's just the way we do things", when it clearly wasnt true. By the time my client was supposed to be "re-evaluated", all of the types of workers still had not been over to her home & it was a relief to her to fire them. My client made more progress without them stressing her out.

The Therapists at Amedisys are committed and passionate about their patients. We have had Chris working with our mother after a fall and hospitalization, and I can tell you after working with other therapists prior to my husband passing, you would want someone like Chris working with your loved one. From Nursing to Therapy, everyone has exceeded our expectations.
