Senior Helpers
Senior Helpers
Senior Helpers is a homecare agency serving Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Homecare agencies provide non-medical personal care services that allow individuals to remain safely in their homes while receiving assistance with daily activities.
Services provided by homecare agencies typically include personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming), companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and respite care for family caregivers.
In Pennsylvania, homecare agencies are typically regulated by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and generally must maintain a Home Care Agency License or Home Care Registry License. Pennsylvania requires licensure for Home Care Agencies and Home Care Registries.
Payment Options: In Pennsylvania, Medicaid may help pay for homecare services through programs like Community HealthChoices. These Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers help eligible individuals receive care at home instead of in an institutional setting. Contact Pennsylvania Department of Human Services or visit https://www.dhs.pa.gov/Services/Assistance/Pages/Medicaid-LTSS.aspx to learn about eligibility and how to apply.
When selecting a homecare agency, consider factors such as caregiver screening procedures, training requirements, supervision practices, and the agency's responsiveness to client needs and concerns. Visit Pennsylvania Department of Health for more information about homecare services in Pennsylvania.
Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

I love getting calls from Senior Helpers to check in. Helps keep me on track to schedule appointments for our loved one.
Great experience and intake coordinator very knowledgable which is so important for building a strong foundation for care. We have the right caregiver and we are blessed. We have been so fortunate to have senior helpers help our family. Our Mom fell and broke her hip in November. We needed 24/7 care. Mom has dementia and suffered so many ups and downs. Senior Helpers always did their very best to take care of mom. May 1st and mom is now much better and getting along very well. The care that Mom has had from so many caregivers has been truly outstanding. Vanessa is with us right now five times a week. Vanessa is a true professional. And Mom loves her. They make crafts and Vanessa knows how to motivate Mom to do those so important exercises. This has been a marathon not a sprint. Thanks for all you do for us and continue to do.
Since the VA has been using this service for me, my family and myself has been living in a cleaner, safer environment and we are just so thankful. We are especially grateful for all the helpers they have staffed us with, especially the one currently assigned to use for the past year and a half, Takenya, who has never missed a day without rescheduling within that same week and puts the care before caregiver each day. Thank you!
We used Senior Helpers workers for my mother-in-law. Initially it was to stay with her at night so her husband could sleep. As things progressed we also used them in the daytime. Amazingly she was happy and accepting of all the workers. As time went on we needed care for more and more hours and Senior Helpers was very accommodating. Although her husband was frequently with her he was unable to do most of her care. They were so good with her. Eventually we needed workers 23 hours a day. Then after a hospitalization she was placed on hospice care. The hospice agency we worked with provided a certain number hours of care and we were actually able to get this with the same workers through Sr. Helpers. She always felt loved. There were workers with her until she passed. We were so thankful that we knew she was getting good care. Thanks again.
