We are privately owned and intend to remain so. From the beginning in 1982, the founder, a registered nurse, made the decision to focus on her clients, care providers and creating new client services. Homeward Bound has no other agenda but to provide our clients with the safe, quality care they need and deserve.
Not only is Homeward Bound an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, but the Bureau has also given us an A+ ranking – the highest level of credibility any business can achieve! The caregiver deserves 5 stars however the agency deserves 1. A contract was never signed or provided prior to services and the charges incurred were higher than what we thought was agreed to. The owner said she explained the charges thoroughly but obviously did not since there was confusion on our part. A suggestion would be to make sure you get a contract signed and explained before agreeing to services so you can see everything in writing. Sometimes these arrangements are made quickly and under stress so a contract to read would be helpful. The agency claims there wasn't enough time but they could have emailed and/or faxed so the client has it to refer to. The caregiver was excellent so for that I am grateful.
