Comfort Keepers
Comfort Keepers
Comfort Keepers is a homecare agency serving Fresno, California and surrounding areas. Homecare agencies provide non-medical personal care services that allow individuals to remain safely in their homes while receiving assistance with daily activities.
Services provided by homecare agencies typically include personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming), companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and respite care for family caregivers.
In California, homecare agencies are typically regulated by the California Department of Social Services and generally must maintain a Home Care Organization (HCO) Registration. California requires registration as a Home Care Organization. Caregivers are generally required to be registered through the Home Care Aide Registry.
Payment Options: In California, Medicaid may help pay for homecare services through programs like In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), Home and Community-Based Alternatives Waiver. These Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers help eligible individuals receive care at home instead of in an institutional setting. Contact California Department of Health Care Services or visit https://www.dhcs.ca.gov/services/ltc/Pages/AssistedLivingWaiver.aspx to learn about eligibility and how to apply.
When selecting a homecare agency, consider factors such as caregiver screening procedures, training requirements, supervision practices, and the agency's responsiveness to client needs and concerns. Visit California Department of Social Services for more information about homecare services in California.
Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

This company is by far this worst caregiver company in town. Sandra the owner is incredibly rude, doesn’t let you speak over the phone, she makes a lot of clerical mistakes and blames you for all the issues when you make a complaint on a caregiver. Denise our caregiver broke many things in our apartment, and very often made my mother uncomfortable with some of her insensitive and rude comments. She would complain about doing dishes and would leave them dirty. She would try and intimidate my mom into not communicating me or to the office about some of the unprofessional behavior she was exhibiting in our apartment. Samantha, the scheduler, was also very demeaning and cold over the phone until I became I private customer. When I was using Valley Caregiver Resource center vouchers to pay for the caregivers I would get caregivers who were new and didn’t know what to do, or often called out. When I became private we got the caregiver we had requested from the beginning which was almost a year into working with them. Denise was great for the first two shifts but after that she turned. Samantha often messed up the schedule or would schedule someone without telling us so we had no clue when to expect someone however if it’s written in “her book log” that she called then she called. This company was horrific and Sandra and I ended up having a few yelling matches which on her end was very unprofessional. She shouldn’t be in this business if she can’t have compassion for her clients. If I could give negative stars I would.
Yes no Communication Management sucks they don’t care they really the worst company i don’t know why they still Operating
I have been using Comfort Keepers for about three months and they have been very good for both me and my husband. My husband is in a wheelchair and on oxygen 24/7. All of the people that have come to stay with him while I am out have been very kind and professional. I plan to continue using them as long as we need them, I highly recommend them.
For some reason or another, l have to train a new person frequently, people don't show up, get call at the last minute that the care person will not make it! This is diffacult when you are disabled and depend on them. The company proclaims their people are trained, how well can a person be trained and being with the company just one day! Their office staff are rude and do not tell the truth.
