My dear friend needed in home care recently. Her nurse worked for Home Instead. Precious was her nurse’s name, and she lived up to her name. She took excellent care of my friend who was paralyzed on half of her body. Precious was always considerate of my friend’s dignity and maintaining my friend’s agency. I used Home Instead services for my mother after she had her fourth spinal compression fracture. She was in a large complex brace and ambulated with a rollator with great difficulty. I initially used the service just for respite because I was her sole caregiver and couldn’t get out for Bible study, shopping, etc. While I was gone, they would bathe and dress her, change her bed sheets, prepare her breakfast, and slowly get her to her recliner. Not only this, but they would take her through the neighborhood in her wheelchair! With my mother’s permission, I used the entirety of her Social Security check to pay for as much time as I could get with Home Instead. They were a lifesaver. I’m a registered nurse, so you KNOW that I was picky!

The owner of this franchise has no idea how to run an in home care business. NO consistency in who comes to your home which in many cases is vital!
