I am so thankful I found First Light Home Care (McHenry County). My husband had extensive spine surgery. We were not anticipating the need for home health services during recovery, but quickly realized that I could not be the sole caregiver and still do other necessary things -- like sleep. Luckily, First Light was able to fill in within a day or two of speaking with them. Each staff person I spoke with was professional, yet friendly, and did their best to accommodate our needs with scheduling. The caregivers were a joy to have here. They were warm, interesting and ready to lend a hand. We were worried it would be awkward to have a caregiver in our home, but they made it easy. We highly recommend First Light of McHenry.

We began working with FirstLight in October of 2024. The peace of mind that our care person has brought to our family has been a true gift! To know that there is someone in the home looking out for the well being of your loved ones is immeasurable! She has been caring, dependable, VERY attentive to the needs of our parents and brings a bright light into the home everyday. Sande, the owner, told us we could expect the best and time has proven her to be correct:)

Sande, Rachel and the entire team at FirstLight are wonderful! They provided excellent care for my elderly father during our time of need.
