Houseworks had been a reliable partner in providing quality care at home for my mother as her dementia progressed. Mom’s first companion who left the company was compassionate, kind and invested. She was a real partner helping me plan ahead as she noticed changes in Mom’s behavior. Our case manager Hannah who has also left was responsive and readily available to help us address changing needs and offer advice. When Mom was hospitalized this summer, things fell apart and I have lost faith in the company. We had a revolving door of different workers and the new case managers have not been involved the way Hannah was. It was impossible to get any consistency between the workers, and we ended up hiring people privately except for one worker from Houseworks who we still have 3 days a week because she formed such a great bond with my mother. Mom know needs 24/7 care and Housework only provides 36 of those hours.
The franklin zoo event was great my family and I enjoy ourselves. It was nice to meet other workers from other locations
