Trinity Hospice
Trinity Hospice
Trinity Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Augusta, Georgia and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

Seriously considering seeking new Hospice organization. During original intake I was told I would be allowed to speak to doctor anytime I needed. I have requested call from doctor 5 times in the last several weeks, still no call. This was an important issue for since my mother would no longer be seeing regular doctors under their care. Would not recommend
I would not recommend this organization. I called to get information as I am seeking support for my mother and Ginger who answered the phone immediately started to tell me what they can’t provide and that I needed private services. As I explained to the in-take person whom she transferred me to, Ginger did not give me the opportunity to talk about our needs for my mother. She lacked compassion and hence I would not use them if they were the last group available. The negativity and insensitivity Ginger showed is why this country is in the shape we are in now.
Mom Trinity Hospice Care Team was Better than Amazing!! Thanks to everyone! They make care Personal like she was their Mom. When she passed away on Friday it was a Blessing that someone was here with me!!! Thank you so much!!!!
This Hospice needs a wake up call. Their primary concern is maximizing profit, doing the least possible, and arguing and being defensive when you make request or ask good questions. They fail to focus on the patient AND FAMILY in crisis. Their concern is the bottom dollar and their fragile feelings. Management is weak and teaches staff it's ok to be defensive and to argue with families. They also push their desires upon the family when you clearly express your wishes upfront. After you kindly remind them over and over that your Mother does not want a foley cath or bed ( she sleeps in a recliner) they continue to push their agenda. Because we had around the clock care they felt we were rich and didn't want to provide anything and did not provide it unless we continued to ask for it over and over. They also did no wound care and acted imposed upon if we needed their help. They DID NOT UNDERSTAND treating a patient in hospice who had a 20 year chronic pain Med history therefore were not educated sufficiently in this area. There will be a challenge ahead as this current generation has many chronic pain patients ....opioid dependent and and opioid addicted patient populations. Such a shame a once great Hospice has become very slack.
