Elara Caring
Elara Caring is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Clinton Township, Michigan and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

Elara coming after a hospital stay for family member. No wounds or end of life care in our case but most of the team has been fantastic and excellent with listening to concerns, LPN even answered an evening call for a situation having at ER. The team members have all arrived on time, text friendly for scheduling, has been really spot on for our needs. Really wish I'd have had this team for my mother 🙏🙏. One team member or 2 might be cutting visits tad short, but communication, responsiveness to concerns, and ability to adjust, listen and provide helpful tips-- just what was needed. Partners in healing. Thankyou !
Elara hospice is phenomenal! We had a ton of drama going on with the hospital when we were trying to get my grandmother home on hospice. Once we heard Elara could do a same day admission the office staff worked diligently to get her at home and portable oxygen system to us timely. Within 6 hours we had my grandmother home and resting comfortably with her O2. 3 hours later a nurse came to admit her. Every staff member that came into our home was amazing. Grandma was comfortable and peaceful till she took her last breath 2 weeks later. Would highly recommend Elara!
I read all the reviews, both positive and negative. My experience with Elara staff and services was nothing but fantastic. My husband, thanks to them and the loving care they gave to him, was gifted with being able to pass peacefully and pain free. Now, three months later they still call occasionally to see how I and my family are coping and if there is anything they can do to help. Their "job" doesn't end with the final breath of the patient but continues on to those left behind.
It was the day before Thanksgiving of 2021 when my mother started the dying process. I needed portable oxygen to get her home from the horrible hospital, and oxygen set up at home. Elara went out of their way to help me and my family bring my mother home, so that she could pass with her loved ones in her home. Amber, our nurse, was incredibly informative, friendly, and most importantly, available when we had questions or needed her. No one would help us the day before Thanksgiving. Elara Caring showed that they do care. I cannot convey the quality of the assistance provided at one of the worst times of my life. They were there for us. Highly recommend them for hospice care.
My mom died a little over a month ago we picked this place for hospice we picked wrong... The day she was dying we called for a nurse to come out it was 7am they said they would get one out as soon as they could 3 hours later we ended up finding the phone number of her nurse and called she got there about 30 minutes before she passed she ended up dying on Dec 26 10:50am if we didn't call we would've never gotten a nurse at all so she spent most of her last hours suffering
