Heartland Hospice Services - Greenville
Heartland Hospice Services - Greenville
Heartland Hospice Services - Greenville is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Simpsonville, South Carolina and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

My grandmother has been a patient with Heartland Hospice for two years now. She looks forward to her weekly visit from her nurse, Donna. Donna truly loves her patients- she not only cares for my grandma’s physical health but takes time to talk to her and make her feel important as a person as well. My grandma’s aide, Tafoya (lovingly known as “T”) has been with my family for the entire two years. She comes to our home five days a week and is an honorary member of our family. She is so kind and cares for my grandmother like she would her own. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. We appreciate the support we have received from Heartland Hospice during this time.
We could not have asked for better care. From the beginning of my Dad’s time with hospice care we had a wonderful team of caregivers. Jackie his CNA and Toni his nurse became like family to us. Daddy loved them and we do too. Toni always explained when we had questions and she was wonderful the day daddy passed. We had a wonderful experience with them and would highly recommend Heartland.
Toni Walker, our primary nurse, has been such a blessing for my fiancé and my family. She is an excellent, extremely knowledgeable nurse. She is also very helpful and gets us the medications we need very promptly. My fiancé trusts and loves Toni. She has helped us in so many ways. For example, to establish daily routines which have been very useful and effective. Toni is very kind and compassionate and her visits always make my fiancé feel better. We would thoroughly recommend her without reservation.
My mom gets excellent care from the nurses, aid, Jennifer, chaplain, & social worker. I am very pleased with your care.
My name is Larry Turner. I am the Lead Outreach Coordinator for Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF) with Alston Wilkes Society. I was contacted by your social worker who was looking for help for one of her veteran families that need food during the storm. Through the help of another nonprofit organization Bootprint, which also serves veterans, we able to work with your team to make sure that family had cooked food, nonparishables, and water. As a veteran, I was encouraged by the team at Heartland Hospice and our organization Alston Wilkes were honored to serve a veteran family through Heartland Hospice.
