Absolutely Horrifying Experience – Clients Abused and Facility Infested I am appalled by the conditions at Mactown Intermediate Care Facility. The clients are not only neglected but also outright abused by the staff. It’s heartbreaking and infuriating to witness such mistreatment. Staff members sleep on the job, leaving clients unsupervised for hours, and some have even been seen physically abusing vulnerable individuals. The facility itself is in deplorable condition, infested with roaches and mice. It's unsanitary and completely unacceptable for a place meant to care for people. The level of filth is beyond disgusting, making it a health hazard for everyone inside. To make matters worse, when AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) visited for a single day, the facility somehow managed to pass with no citations. It’s baffling how such an obvious failure of care and hygiene could go unnoticed. The place is clearly being mismanaged, and vulnerable people are suffering because of it. This facility is a disgrace. It should be shut down and thoroughly investigated before more harm is done. If you care about your loved ones, avoid this place at all costs.

As a client who stays there I can tell you first hand if your in a behavioral group home they could care less about you if you're court ordered to be there! I was trying to get unsupurvised in visits with my parents (Only) through the courts. I was told the treatment team needs to reccomend it or the court won't approve it. MACTOWN Treatment team says the opposite that its up to the courts to decide legal matters. I've been in limbo like this for 3 years of excellent behavior while other clients whom will not be named to protect their rights act out and are granted same privilleges thus rewarding bad behavior in a misguided attempt to calm the clients... It won't let me leave a zero star review so I leave the least amount of stars I am able to as some one who lives here! Also other reviews by disgruntled staff signify the norm for how they treat their workers who I give a shout out to for making the best of a bad situation and helping us as best as they can!

They tried to kill my son twice. The moment I decided to discharge him. They steal the clients money. They abused my son. My son was Rush to the hospital. I found out a day later. Probably wouldn't have gotten a call. I popped up out of the blue. The staff cursed me out. Horrible place to be. They kept his discharged monies. Horrible place. Please don't go there

My daughter is a resident, very capable and caring professional staff.

Professional help for people with mental health issues..Also helping them in becoming self sustaining. ****
