Ridgecrest I & II

Ridgecrest I & II is a certified Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) located in West Jefferson, North Carolina. An ICF/IID provides health and rehabilitation services to individuals with intellectual disabilities or related conditions who require active treatment but do not require the level of care provided by a hospital or skilled nursing facility.

ICF/IIDs provide residential care and active treatment to help individuals develop skills and achieve the highest level of independence possible. Each resident has an individual program plan that addresses their specific needs and goals.

These facilities must meet federal requirements for active treatment, protection of individual rights, and quality of care. Services are typically funded through Medicaid and must comply with state and federal regulations.
