Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description
Come home to Aloha. Providing personalized skilled nursing, intermediate, long term, respite and hospice care in a warm, plantation-style atmosphere.
Summary of Position:
Working collaboratively with and under the general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, with direction from the Charge Nurse, performs assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of care delivered to assigned residents in accordance with established standards of nursing practices as delineated by Hale Ho Aloha.
Essential Duties:
Participates in the interdisciplinary assessment and development of the residents' plan of care
Understands the concepts of rehabilitation and restorative nursing and implements on day-to-day activities
Recognizes and able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Open shifts for Full-time float (Various days, evenings, nights and weekends)
2 references required
Experience in hospice, long term or acute care preferred.
Requirements:
Current State of Hawaii LPN License
First Aid & CPR Certification
Physical Exam (within 1 year)
2 Step TB, Followed by 1 Step TB (within 1 year)
Must be 18 years of age
Ability to read and write in English
Good verbal communication skills
Must have legal rights to work in the US
Knowledge in areas of rehabilitation, restorative and gerontological nursing preferred.
