I was deeply inspired witnessing Patrick spearhead this remarkable rehabilitation transformation! He embodies warmth and compassion, exemplifying exceptional administrative prowess, warmly greeting everyone with a heart overflowing with empathy for the sick and shut-in. Thank you for being a beacon of hope! This place has undergone a profound metamorphosis.
I want to take this moment and send a BIG THANK YOU TO BRI on night shift, she always greet us with a small in the evening and ensure that mom is taken care of. We witness just how caring she is to our mother.
My mother was in their rehab section for three weeks and two days. Every person was kind to her and helpful. The facility truly has caring staff. As in every healthcare facility, the staff was often unable to assist as quickly as one would like, but would get there as soon as possible. I was impressed that my mother received therapy even on weekends. The therapists were quite good and caring.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My mom was placed in FO for rehab. She got no rehab, and was left alone in her bed. I drove from out of state to see her and was appalled when I found her in the fetal position alone in a room where there was blood on the wall next to her bed and on the floor. There were face masks on the floor beside her bed, along with other medical trash, and the area around the toilet was disgusting. No cleaning was being done, much less increased cleaning because of COVID. She was dehydrated because no one was helping her eat or drink. The clothes she went in with were gone, and clothes that weren't hers were in their place. Her shirt hadn't been washed, as there was blood all over the sleeve. It had been thrown in the floor of her closet. The staff were not in any hurry to help when asked, even when there were 6 people at the desk. I have photos and, if given the option, I will post them. DO NOT place the care of your loved one in this nursing home. Had we not gotten to her and insisted on her being moved out immediately, she would have died, without question.
One of the issues I have is my sister not kept dry and clean. The other is lack of respect for the elderly, no matter what their situation is. Persons taking care of residents has a duty and should fulfill it with pride. Not all caregivers are ment for this field. If you are there just for the paycheck you are in the wrong job. Caregivers first should care!!!. Is my patient happy, clean not wanting for anything. A smile and polite conversation goes a long way. And for heaven's sake learn how to care for dementia patients and be kind to overweight people, they have feelings to!! The other thing that get me upset, items that have be given to her to help keep her mind active seems to disappear. And the other her phone, which my only link to her needs to be charged and within her reach at all times. Forest Oakes you have a long way to go. I hope none of your relatives end up there!
