Concordia at Villa St Joseph

Villa Saint Joseph of Baden Is an incredible facility. My mother has been there for approximately six years and she loves it. The caring culture, people and facilities are excellent. She thoroughly enjoys all aspects of the Villa and truly calls it home. We’re blessed to be a part of this community.

I wouldn’t send my mother anywhere else for rehab. . The nurses and aids are friendly and caring. The rehab team is top notch! Brandon and Nikki work with my Mom like she’s their own.

My 95 year old mother was recently in rehab here. The experience was completely different than the previous stay. We were so very disappointed in most of the care. I know they are short handed since Covid but there seemed to be no urgency in responding to the residents. One day I saw four calls for assistance being ignored while two nurses sat looking at computers & one fixing a beverage in the kitchen. Perhaps the nurses are being required to spend more time updating notes than actually attending to patients. Twice I had to request water for my mother while two young aides/nurses-in-training? sat in the common tv room looking at their phones. I will say there were a few who were very pleasant & willing to help & my mother looked forward to seeing them. My mother loved the therapy she received even though she wasn’t able to progress fast enough for insurance to cover her entire stay & she was forced to be private pay. I hate to see such a beautiful facility digress from the care for which it was known. I forgot to include a picture of her one week after bringing her home. This is the woman who was denied coverage 15 days after entering your facility for rehab on broken left hip, broken left humerus & broken left wrist because she wasn’t progressing fast enough. This is 40 days after her accident.

I would give zero stars if I could. My mother was placed in this facility for less than a week and tragically passed away shortly after. She repeatedly complained about leg pain and was told nothing was wrong—only for it to later be revealed she had a blood clot. On top of that, she suffered from a severe infection that went untreated. The staff barely checked on her, ignored her complaints, and failed to provide the basic care she needed. We trusted this place with my mother’s life, and that trust was completely misplaced. No one should have to watch their loved one decline so rapidly due to neglect. I’m devastated and heartbroken—and I hope no other family has to go through what we did. Please think twice before sending your loved one here.

I received excellent care from the nurses and the aides. PT & OT were challenging and thorough. Each person who attended to me was pleasantly encouraging and supportive.
