This place has been heaven sent. After dad died earlier this year we had to find a place for mom for her safety. We have been so impressed with the care mom has received here. She is in the secure Alzheimer’s unit and we never have to worry about her wandering away. The staff is so remarkable they are always smiling and have so much patience The facility is always clean and the food looks and smells delicious. They are always having activities to keep the clients active and engaged It’s a bit of a drive to see mom but it is definitely worth it to have her safe and treated with respect. Could not be more satisfied.

At Central Texas Nursing and Rehab, my mother is known by her name, not by her Medicare number. Let me be clear; this facility is professionalism, compassion, and top notch nursing care all rolled together and tucked into a small friendly town in West Central Texas. I have never felt as vulnerable as I did when I knew my mother needed a higher level of care than what we could provide at home; the research and decision making process is exhausting. I appreciate that Holden spent the first moments of our conversation asking about my mother’s care needs and explaining how Central Texas Nursing could best care for her specific medical concerns. Other facilities I spoke with were very concerned about what insurance my mother had and wanted to talk about payment before they talked about how they could best care for my mother. The personal touch and compassion is evident from the well trained aides who help my mother with her most intimate personal care needs, to the top-notch nursing staff of RNs and LVNs who administer her medicine and monitor her day to day health. Leadership is visible, cleanliness is a priority, and communication is quick and efficient. I feel like I’m an active participant in my mother’s care and I appreciate how the nursing staff educates me about my mother’s condition. The living experience at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation is centered around compassionate care and dignity. I urge you to consider them for all they have to offer your loved one.

Having my mom at Central Texas Rehab gives me a sense of peace that she is being taken care of and that the staff really cares. The facility is clean and the food is tasty. There are a variety of events planned each day to encourage residents to get together and socialize. I’m thankful that there is a place like this so close to where my Dad is so he can visit regularly, and be free of worry when he is not with Mom.

The Staff at Central Texas has been a tremendous help to me and my family over the years. Several years ago after an illness, my mother needed additional care as she recuperated. The PT and nursing staff were instrumental in getting her "back on her feet" and was able to transition her back to her home environment. We are currently looking at more options as our care needs increase, and the team in Ballinger is currently our top choice when the time comes to reach out for a helping hand! The Administrative Team ( Holden and Kayla ) have been such great assets to have in our corner as we navigate some of the hard decisions that we all have to face. Their years of experience, ability to work with the hospitals and insurance, and most of all, compassion, are second to none !!

Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 7 years ago. We kept her at home for as long as we could until we couldn't do it anymore. What a blessing Central Texas Nursing & Rehab has been. Mom has been a resident there going on 4 years now and we can't thank them enough for everything they do. Not only do they take care of mom, but they are also good to my dad, who goes there everyday! May God continue to bless the staff of Central Texas Nursing & Rehab.
