i was working on a place to live for after surgery and P/T i had many recommendations from people about me i was in consistent communication with them throughout. April 28 2025 i got the ok to start walking and my physician gave orders for P/T and said what to do and what not to do. May 15 2025 the facility here told me they sent the paperwork in to get p/t approved and started later on in may the place where i wanted to go said they give a interview to stay there i went everything went good they even said welcome home, at this time p/t was not started all they would tell me is that they were waiting for medicades answer. Well the day after i had that interview they sent me a email stating because i havent eve started p/t and im not following doctors that i could not stay there. So after just after June i was sick of getting the same answer and waiting i called medicade they tell me the facility got a answer 15 days after they sent the request in and was told to fix something in the paperwork i guess they tried by scribbling things out and writing things on top of what they scribbled out. again medicade said to fix it. Well of course the facility didnt so June 28 05 the approved 2 weeks of p/t and said this will only happen once because of the paperwork. So out of those 2 weeks i got 2 days thats it for July. I actually didnt start p/t until August, so the whole time i was being lied to and now i have nowhere to live and all they say is we can help you find a homeless shelter to go to. What i had going got all messed up cause someone couldnt do their job and now im homeless and its getting close to winter so im homeless with one leg and an ankle i have to be careful on on ice. OK so thats issue one throughout my stay at times i had to get my blood pressure check daily 3 times a day well that didnt happen all the time maybe once or twice but i know for a fact its says different on paperwork, and my weight was supposed to be done weekly theres one time the aide ask if she could get my weight because it hasnt happened in awhile because ive been refusing which was a complete lie why would i refuse that i wanna know so the aide have been lying about that to. on top of all that i find out that the housekeepers have been saying im refusing my room being cleaned again whyn would i refuse it takes what 10secs to do it.So at one point i told the east hall unit mgr about this and she tells me the housekeepers shes not in charge that was someone else basically she didnt care but she told me she would look into it well she never did but thats what it says on paperwork they dont care otherwise. this same unit mgr i was telling my meds were late and she says the state gives them a 2 hour window a cusion so they werent late i was trying to tell her im trying to keep my meds on a schedule but she says literally theres more important people the only time i ever have a problem is when a unit mgr is on duty some of them will wait till the last sec or wait till the next persons on duty to make it their problem. Case in point another unit mgr gave me a dbl dose of one medication so she comes to my room and basicaly chews me out putting the blame on me and tells me i have to miss my next dose just because she messed up i have to pay for it. Another one wasnt gonna give me one of my meds because she said it wasnt time yet (LIE) i know because i was keeping track of everything and i mean everything know body knew that untill i told the nurse that i knew it was like 2 hours past the time i could get it and even showed her my record keeping everything that happened every day i wrote down. What happened and what didnt happen. Theres way more but you get the idea be careful withyour loved ones.
My wife was in the memory care unit. She would fiscally and verbally resist taking her medication or changing her clothing. I visited her 2 to 3 times per week and would observe how the staff treated the people under their care. The staff were always polite and friendly with them, always respectful. They always greeted me by name and often thanked me for coming to visit. Only complaint I have is, they sent her to a behavioral hospital in Indiana to find a way to settle her down. She came back with serious injuries of which I believe caused her death.
called up the “nursing” home to talk to our grandmother the lady answered the phone and was like i don’t know the room number and hung up.. this speaks to there level of care. don’t let your loved ones go here!
My mother-in-law was a resident at Mission Point of Belding until she passed in December. The staff took amazing care of her while she was with us and her time of passing. I would recommend Mission Point of Belding for rehabilitation care and long-term care.
I just had a terrible stay at this facility. First of all I’m retired from the physical therapy profession and the staff was made aware of that. Rose and I believe it was the director of nursing welcomed me. They then took me to the furthest room from the therapy dept. and nurses desk. My meal was served as pu’reed, and I’m on a regular diet. They got an iv in yet I had a pic line??? All my clothes were taken, which is fine, to be labeled but, they could have asked. Then one of my main very important meds was discharged by their Nurse by mistake. Another nurse was at my bedside till 5am working on her computer. I couldn’t sleep with her right there. After breakfast I did my own exercises as therapy never came in. Until I received a old standard walker I used the iv pole to get to n from bathroom. 30-40 minutes was the normal answer after I pushed my call bell. I have a broken pelvis with compression fractures up n down my spine. I called my Son and he came and got me. Saw my doctor the next day and he immediately put me back into hospital for my 2nd blood transfusion in 2 weeks and we found an antibiotic to safely take at home. I will saw when I got care from the Tech’s it was good but when I worked there things ran a little different. They need to step up there game if they want to be called a skilled nursing facility who can cater to a rehab patient.
