I was not a consumer here, but some of my family members were. You walk in and most of the time I was greeted. First thing I noticed no horrible nursing home smell. The facility appeared to be very neat and clean. Recently my sister was in there for rehab and she just praised all the workers from nurses, aids, therapy, dining and cleaners. She said she really enjoyed her stay. Keep up the good work!!!
My MIL spent a week here and I am grateful to everyone for their kindness from the moment we walked in the door from Sylvia at the front desk to the therapists, nurses and aides, and administrators. You know who you are and I appreciate you! Thank you for how you took care of her, and for all the time you spent listening to me and answering my questions. It made the transition back to hospice a little easier. I appreciated the cleanliness and that the facility had a homey and inviting feel.
Beware--they will take your loved ones off medication here so their facility isnt penalized for distributing too much of a certain type of medication. Then, when it comes time to ask who would make such and incredibly careless decision they wont hold anyone accountable for their actions. Sad place
I visited alterrcare in Cambridge for possibly placing a family member in the future as his health is declining. The Administrator did not respond to my arrival. I finally walked to her office and observed a patient knocking at her door. The Administarator did not appear busy. As I watche'd the patient for 10 min knocking at her door, she would not respond to him. She finally looked up at me and came out to greet me but ignored the patient. I told her That after viewing her ignoring the patient s needs, I was not interested in the facility. So sad when you pay top dollar for care, yet have to be there daily to make sure the needs of your loved ones are met. She appeared to be more concerned for placements and not for the patients well being. A few min of interaction with him was all he wanted. I would never allow a loved one to reside in their care! She was worried about occupying facility but showed NO interested in patient.SO SAD!
I had a little issue with the food for my mother but I had a conversation with the lady in charge an she fixed everything an even made my day with her kindness. An I got to see some older man play banjo. They finally fixed dinner an it was good. 5 stars all around great experience
