My sister has been with medilodge of Cass city for like 3 to 4years. Yes I have had issues with them in the past and when I do have a problem I address with them.. well this is kinda the last straw. I went for a visit yesterday evening. I walk in her room an can smell a funny oder . I walk over to my sister and it's her, I look at her an her face, ears, neck, hair, her hands and under her finger nails was so dang nasty . My sister can't remember the last time they even gave her a bath.. this is so unacceptable and wrong.. you can tell that her skin hasn't had water or soap touch it in months.. I went an addressed the nurses and ask for wash cloths so I could was her face, neck, ears, hands, and her finger nails.. there was a moldy food all in her nails and yellowish brown batches of skin between her fingers. They make her eat with her hands an nails being so nasty. How is this even right..

Family members and I brought a picnic dinner up to share with our cousin. When I first entered the building I was greeted by a personable female who assisted me with my visitors badge. There were two other females in the area that also greeted me. We had the "Bird Room" to have our dinner. Everything was clean and well kept. The personnel were friendly. We had a great visit! Thank you Medilodge👍

This is an amazing facility! Having spent a lot of time in nursing facilities, I can say that this facility's heart is in the right place. If you need to look for placement for a loved one in this area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a tour. Great staff, clean, and it looks as though the residents are well cared for.

If I could give them a -5 star I would. They neglected my mom to the point she had a pressure sore one stage away from needing surgery to correct. It took from the end of October to the middle of February to close her sore. I believe if I would have left her there one more week, she would have died. I have a friend whose mom was in there and they left her in a chair for somewhere between 11 to 13 hours. Don't put anyone you care about there.
