My husband and I had my mother in law with dementia at this facility. The staff was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and patient with her. She could be difficult at times, but they took good care of her. The day she passed, you would’ve thought she was one of their family members. To us, this facility is West Dallas’s best kept secret as far as nursing home care is concerned. They were on point when she needed to go to the ER or if she needed any additional care. Of course, we had to do our part , and by doing that we established a close relationship with the management and staff. I will be recommending this facility to others. We know that when you have to take care of a loved one, it takes a village, and we are grateful to have had the Lakewest Rehab and Nursing Home as part of our village.

My families experience was amazing at Lakewest. The nurse aids absolutely loved my grandmother. Even when we had concerns they were addressed quickly and appropriately. If my grandmother needs care again I would definitely bring her back to Lakewest.

I went to visit a friend there a few weeks ago and saw that his room was very filthy, and he had been sitting in his mess for hours & was very thirsty- he said no one had checked in on him, and he accidentally dropped the nurse button after trying to call for help like 3 times. A staff member was out in the hallway outside his room looking at videos on her phone, while patients are being neglected!!! And some of the same reviews on here mention how rude & incompetent the staff is, THIS IS RIGHT ON POINT!!! They were rude & bothered if you ask them for anything. This place needs to be shut down - This report, along with others I’ve seen on here will be forwarded onto the appropriate authorities.
