My mom went to the bounce back neighborhood and experienced the absolute best care. She loved the staff so much she was sad to leave. Mom returned again when she was passing and I can not experience the amount of love that was shown to her during her last moments. The staff treats the residents like their own family.
I would give a zero if I could. My dad went into Hawthorne with a stage one bedsore, left with a stage four. After he went back to the hospital to have the stage four bedsore treated, Hawthorne would not take him back, the place that caused the stage four bedsore in the first place.
Excellent staff Hawthorne has some of the best CNA'S I've ever seen And a wonderful administrator! Very clean and positive atmosphere!🙂 they really care about the residents needs at Hawthorne, the activities is a great department! Housekeeping does a wonderful job as well.
I had a family member there getting rehab after a stroke and because the insurance cut out, there was going to be some out of pocket costs. Seeing as we were told it would be roughly $1500 we didn't worry too much about it. Until, someone "more important" needed a bed, they raised the price from $1500 for a 5 day stay to $8000! I am absolutely appalled by this treatment. Absolutely unacceptable.
If you are looking for a place for your loved one to be cared for then this is not for you. Nursing staff is very lazy in their job duties. Patients are left unattended for long periods of time. Patients share a very run down room and have to share a TV. The facility is very out dated and run down.
