If I could give no stars I would. Do not take your loved ones here. My mother was here 3 weeks in Rehab and 1 1/2 weeks in Nursing. We assumed she would come home after the rehab time. By the time she went to the nursing she was so weak she couldn’t go home alone to her apartment. At the time of her death we were looking into other nursing homes but she only lived 1 1/2 weeks. My daughter and I were there everyday after work and she was laying in soiled clothes everyday. The smell throughout the facility was awful. When we pushed the button for someone to come help it took 45-60 min for them to come check on her. I provided all necessities for her like depends, vomit bags, wet wipes and tissues. I took her laundry home to wash. She developed a large bed sore there that would not heal. Twice she called us to come help her because she fell and nobody came to help her when she pushed the call button. I even called Health and Senior Services to file a complaint for how they were operating the facility. A few of the staff were friendly, some didn’t want to be bothered. The day she died, she called me at work to tell me she couldn’t breathe and they didn’t come check on her when she pushed the button. I had to call the nurses station to have them go check on her and I was on my way there. To top it off they want me to pay out of my own pocket money that Medicare/Medicaid wouldn’t pay for 11 days in the Nursing home because I was POA for one month while she was alive. My mother was on Medicaid, getting extra help from the government, lived in a low income senior housing unit, and had no assets. They refuse to waive that one week expense because she didn’t live 10 more hours for them to get her first social security check after placing her in the nursing unit. I would never use this facility for anyone again. It was truly an awful experience.
My friend was treated so bad and always left in wet clothes from urine. Very dirty. Staff is rude and uncaring. Thank God my friend was moved to a better place.
This place is nasty, dirty, and disgusting. ALWAYS smells like urine. The NAs get upset and throw tantrums when asked to do their job. Nurses steal medications, and intentionally make their least favorite residents uncomfortable. Would love to share some screen shots and pictures of this horrible facility with you, but I'm not being offered that option at the time of writing this. If you love someone. Do not put them in this home.
There should be NO star option here. I grew up in Eldon and spent time here with my grandparents in the past and nothing has ever changed. Now another loved one was placed here and being removed. Upon entry to this place it smells like sewage very strongly! Theres staff thats kind and loving and theres staff thats harsh and show they really hate thier job. You will see paint missing from walls and feces spread here and there on door handles. Before you sit on any visiting chair bring sanitzer wipes because they are filthy dirty. This isnt a very nice place and should consider other options. Call lights go for long periods without assistance. My loved one was put to bed without a diaper change left in soiled diaper all night.. If you complain they look at you like your crazy.. Residnts only get a shower once every 3 days.. Disgusting!
