My 92yo dad was sent there for rehab after a major surgery. Because he wanted to sit outside (that’s his favorite thing to do every day of his life) and they didn’t want him to, they moved him without consulting me - his POA - to memory care. They called me after the fact. The nurses treat those in memory care like they are never leaving - that’s not rehabbing or getting my dad to walk again. I went in one afternoon and he was in debilitating pain, clenching his chest. They treated him for indigestion….HE HAD MULTIPLE PULMONARY EMBOLISMS! They knew why he was there, yet not one single person had the brains to think this could be something other than heartburn? When I got the nurse in his room she was ridiculous. Ya, I yelled at her asking why the hell does this look like indigestion? He’s grasping his chest in pain and can’t even talk! Instead of looking at him and assessing, she went to get a supervisor because she didn’t like that I was yelling at her. They were too busy being lazy and getting butt hurt that I was yelling for my dad’s emergent care need. I ended up calling 911 for him to go to emergency room. Not a single nurse assessed him or considered calling 911. He told me he’d been like that since the night before! Had I not called 911, he’d be dead. DON’T EVER PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THEIR CARE. NEVER.

My mom has been in a few rehabs over the years. Seminary Village has been the one that has impressed me the most!! You can tell the therapists from Bounce Back, the nurses and CNA’s truly care about the patient! It’s very clean, the food is absolutely delicious! They have been great with communicating to me what’s been happening with my mom and keeping me in the loop of her rehabilitation.

My cousin went to bounce back the third week of April 2023. When she first got there she had to go to the bathroom and she told the nurse she waited and waited and she couldn't hold it anymore and wet the bed wet herself. And there weren't guardrails on her bed. Her son told them to get guardrails on the bed after her son left the supervisor asked her do you have guard rails on your bed at home? What kind of question is that she's not at home she's at bounce-back for a reason. She hadn't had a shower since May 17th and finally had to ask for one on May 21st. So the staff member came and got her took her to a shower that wasn't completely cleaned up and had feces in it and . My family member just about barfed, literally. What kind of treatment is that for a human being? A facility that is getting paid good money from insurance. How degrading to be treated like that. I wouldn't take my dog there!! I am very angry that my cousin was treated that way! She's a human ! She should get better treatment than that! Everybody in that facility should. I am outraged!!

If it weren't for my family and I recognizing certain things, who knows if my aunt would be here. This place has always been pretty reputable but this is experience has been by far the worst. Within one week she was taken to the hospital twice for dehydration. They mix her clothes up and feed them slop. Pictured below is one of her meals. She didn't want to her her food and honestly I didn't blame her and asked if they could make something else. They claim she'll get better care there than at home. If yall can't even make sure she's drinking properly than I'm sorry you're failing to do your job. Please don't bring your loved ones here. "It take a village" and this is the wrong one!! I'm sure if it was their loved one they wouldn't let these things go!!
