Wouldn’t give it 1 star if it wasn’t required. My Mother is Post surgery and the Hospital recommended her to go to this place for recovery. I, as a daughter did my due diligence to see if the facility was a good fit for her needs . The moment I walked in I knew it wasn’t what I wanted for my mother. But I digressed and still asked questions the lady at the front desk was polite and offered the supervisor so I can get more information. The moment I get to the supervisor she doesn’t greet me or even smile. Her first words were “I don’t have her chart” she was rude and unprofessional. I told her I’m not here to speak about her chart I’m here to see what the facility offers. She repeatedly told me she didn’t have my mother’s chart. No matter what my mother’s chart read. As a nursing home and a supervisor there should’ve been a better approach and a few answers to be given on what the facility offers. So much more conversation went on where my voice needed to be raised. The nursing staff isn’t helpful at all. Every nurse was at the nurse station not one was assisting a patient. The place is packed 3 beds to a small room. A million wheelchairs looked like they were in a bumper car match.. No patient appeared to be in there to progress just from first appearance. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place.

I wish that I could add a + to my 5. Since I was transferred to Royal Palms I witness nurses doing exceptionally well services. Distributing meds on time, feeding by hand when necessary, showering, and changing diapers as well as washing soiled linen. Entertaining patients, singing karaoke, encouraging therapy to all willing and abled elders, coming to aide all patients when called. My two roommates are bed stricken, and they are spoiled by some of these kind nurses. I hope they all get hefty bonuses for Christmas 🎄 Dwayne Dickson 65 years old and feeling better than ever!!

Royal Palms is one of those facilities that should be condemned or taken over by the State. Not only are they negligent, but they're extremely incompetent. I have decided to contact the State of California Ombudsmen to see what options there are to make sure that their continued disrespect for their patients and their loved one doesn't continue. I will not rest until Royal Palms is held accountable for how they mishandled and poorly cared for my loved one. By all means CLOSE THE DOORS TO THE PLACE. I feel sorry for the overworked nursing staff and find that there are way too many administrative positions.

If I could give these people NEGATIVE STARS I would most definitely do it! The treatment they give your lived ones in atrocious. They are very unorganized. The staff tell you one thing, then tell you something totally different. They claim that they have Covid 19 protocols in place for the safety of the residents and then the staff let's people in without wearing face coverings (after enforcing the face covering mask with other people within sight). It seems like the reason they don't let you visit your loved ones is to hide the treatment they give them. Then when you have concerns over how they are treating your family members, they get rude and disrespectful. They also have no concern over residents health. They released my Mom out in the middle of a rain storm with only a smock! A patient just getting over a respiratory infection! How in the world would any health professional think that is a good idea? If you read this review before you trust them with your loved one and still decide to take them, make sure you pay attention to how they act and have the information ready to file a formal complaint. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING! Pay attention to the bad reviews. I read some of them and can relate to them. if you live your family members, DON'T LET THEM GO THERE.

Terrible Nursing home, no patient should have to stay at such a horrendous establishment where the building is not cared for or cleaned of it’s overwhelming urine and feces odor. My poor grandmother was supposed to quarantined there but we took her out on her first day, she had been served burned and cold food and mistreated by the caretakers there and neglected her any care. My deepest condolences for any of the patients who currently stay there, even mentally troubled patients seem to suffer some form of abuse. I would never recommend this place for anybody at all!
