Medicare Coverage: Medicare covers skilled nursing facility care for up to 100 days following a qualifying hospital stay of at least 3 days. Days 1-20 are fully covered by Medicare, days 21-100 require a daily coinsurance payment. Many residents also use Medicaid, private insurance, or pay privately for long-term stays.

Questions to Ask: When visiting a nursing home, ask about: staff-to-resident ratios and RN coverage around the clock, how they handle medical emergencies, activities and therapy programs, how they communicate with families, their approach to falls prevention, and policies for managing resident complaints.

Peter Becker is one of the nicer communities for retirement. However the skilled section could use more help in the evening hours. The restaurant is really good with really good food. The therapy department is excellent.

This is for your thrift store. I witnessed an older woman berating a HANDICAP young lady [worker].That was the older woman's childhood trauma. It was so wrong the young lady needs kindness and compassion not berating. Your store is lovely. But the atmosphere was brutally unsettling ,I would have looked longer but couldn't. I felt so bad for the young lady.

Our mom is currently at Peter Becker for rehab after a hospital stay. We are blown away at the level of care by ALL staff. From cleaning crew to waitress/waiters, nursing, administration and the very nice ladies that greet you, always with a smile, when you first walk in. And it is a true genuine kindness. The organization of the whole facility from our first phone calls to when mom arrived has exceeded our expectations! Home placement for a parent is a very overwhelming situation but Peter Becker has given our family such peace and we could not be any happier. ❤ to ALL the workers at Peter Becker for the care and kindness they've show our mom.
