We have had a family member at Trueman Pointe for over six weeks now. For a point of reference for this review our family works in healthcare so we have a very solid foundation on what good healthcare should look like. Starting with the building and room. The center is nice, not overly nice. Which is okay, esthetics is nice but we prefer to focus on care. The rooms are nice as well. Our family member is in a private room with his own bathroom with a shower. It also comes with cable tv, two windows, and plenty of storage. Again, the rooms are nice but not over that top. We made it more like home by hanging lots of pictures. Let’s be honest this isn’t a hotel. The food is also very good here. My family member who is a picky eater really loves it to our astonishment. Now onto the important stuff; the staff! Words can not describe how wonderful and skilled the staff here are. I don’t even think they know how skilled they are. Yes, there are one or two who are introverts, but they still provide great care. And this care goes around the clock. We know this because we have stopped in at noon and midnight. I have seen them do physical therapy, give medications such as pills and IV medications, play games with residents, and just hold their hands. They have been wonderful. Overall the administration as been very responsive to all our concerns. Alyssa the admissions director has made sure all of our need were met. And most important, everyone at Trueman has not had one issue with our over the top family. We have had dinner there with 10 family members and the staff has been so supportive. Even making sure we have a big dinning area to enjoy. Our kids have laughed and graced the hallways while the staff has done nothing but smiled. This is a great care center that is providing great care.

The phone etiquette of the staff is very poor. I called and they took forever to answer. Upon answering they just stated the name of the facility so I though it was their VM when I didn't respond b/c they didn't say how can I help you they hung up the call. Upon calling back I stated what I needed and was sent to a staff member who said I don't know why the receptionist sent the call to me. So frustrating. I would not want to see my family member at a facility that speaks to people the way that they do. Unkind and unprofessional.

Never answer the phone just rings and rings, then goes to fast busy and hangs up. Have they heard of voicemail? This place is taking care of ill patients and maybe family members might like to have someone answer the phone or at least let you leave a message or call back number for when they are less busy.

This facility is super nice! They had a nice sized private room that my mom went into after rehab. Brittany and her therapy team was wonderful . Zach and his nursing care team went above and beyond. The management is wonderful.  You can tell they really care about their patients and they aren’t there just for the paycheck!

Michelle is the daughter of a recent resident we had at Trueman Pointe. On a written review here’s what she had to say! “My father went to Trueman Pointe for rehab after a fall in his assisted living apartment and had a four day stay in the hospital. His experience there was exceptional. He met all of his PT/OT goals quickly. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. Call lights were answered promptly every-time and all his needs were met. The food is hot and very good! Administrative staff was very helpful. Nurses and nursing assistants were very kind. He also enjoyed the activities offered. We thank Trueman Pointe for taking excellent care of him.”
