This facility changed ownership in Sept 2022 & you can already see such a positive change & they have started remodeling & upgrading different things in the facility. The new administration staff is phenomenal & is dedicated to providing the best quality of care & customer service. The nursing staff at Lakewood goes the extra mile to care for your loved one & to make you and your family feel welcomed. Everyone is so friendly and kind, it truly feels like one huge family with all the residents and staff.
My father was sent here after a fall and a brief stay in the hospital. Due to the care he has been receiving here, he acts like a new man. I cannot emphasize how nice, genuinely caring, and helpful Miss Tamara and all the other people here have been (if I could remember all their names, I would thank them all individually). They have been giving my dad physical therapy, breathing treatments, and hygienic care, and he looks and acts like he’s suddenly years younger. The fact that he doesn’t want to leave and go home is a testament to his experiences here. We gratefully and enthusiastically recommend seeking care here!
Our Mom is early in her third year of a dementia diagnosis. One year of living alone with a Sitter, one year with a son and daughter-in-law, and now we need Lakewood. From our first conversation with Tamara, to going through the application with Keiley, and every encounter we’ve had with every person - has been an absolute 10. I’ve never known kindness to pervade an entire Service Team, but Lakewood achieves it. In the words of our Mom, “I love it here.”
I don't understand these negative reviews. This place is amazing and if you walked a mile in a nursing home workers shoes, you probably reconsider. These people CHOSE to dedicate their time to care for other humans. Sandra Tedder, the admissions director/service worker, was amazing. From painting my mother's nails, bringing her a radio, and taking the time everyday to check on her numerous times. Ester, the activity director, is the sweetest woman and genuinely cares about everyone.
