I’m a travel aide, I work for a hospice company and I have had the opportunity to visit on a Regular basis 100’s of nursing homes and assisted living facility. medical Lodge of Independence Has the kind of staff I would In trust my family with. They always have activities going. Their staff is friendly and well knowledgeable in how to care for the aging. This facility is the best of its kind in the town of independence 10 out 10!!! ❤️
This place takes Medicaid money and does not provide the level of care they commit to Medicaid under their contract. My mom was abused in this facility both physically and mentally. She was left in the bathroom, stranded for hours. She constantly had UTIs. She was told she had money somewhere and she owed them money when she had zero assets and only had Medicaid. She went without bathing for 3 weeks. I witnessed other patients in the facility being abused as well. One patient was self-pay and asked for things like to be taken someplace and they made a big deal about how much more money they needed from her. She was helpless. They take money and barely provide basic needs of care. Keep your loved ones far away from here.
Why are there no pictures of the inside. Why are there no other reviews. Would you want your loved one going somewhere that seems to be "secretive"? Very concerning. May have to get a hold of a hotline to go in and check the welfare of these patients.
Staff is rude and acts like they are miserable. No reason to be that rude for no reason
