Dont leave your family here. At night, no one attends to them as they should. My mom would have to get them to help my dad or else no one would go see him and shed have to get onto them about. They refused to answer my mom when shed ask them what was wrong with him. The only person who truly took care of my dad was my mom and 2 other nurses.
Wouldn't recommend it. There were probably 3 staff members that did that their jobs but the rest wouldn't and one specific one would say that her job wasn't to change diapers. They don't care about your loved ones. They failed to call the ambulance on my dad when he had fluids in his heart and lungs. They made it seem like he wasn't sick when he was having issues with breathing.
Wow!! bad rev. are for he most true!! it appears clean and few peeps here are polite.. YET!! Claim to be rehab for senior but they just leave your love ones to rot.. we arrived early a.m 7-ish and our parent need help to use restroom for over hr and no one has come by!! no staff was available, so we where told! sooooo! what are they here for??? . false claim? It's a lawyer needed? Any recommendation? unless you can be here all day! to supervise, RUN!!!!!!
Our mother was at Brookdale Lakeway Rehab and Skilled Nursing for nearly 3 months (late 2022 into early 2023) working to physically recover and rehab from a significant stroke. From the start staff in the business office, front office, therapy, discharge office and nursing were kind, warm, responsive, and attentive to our mother and her case. The care team met with us as often as needed and helped us understand progress and lay out continued plans to support further progress. Rooms were small and homey, not much was needed but we were able to easily make our mom comfortable during her stay. The staff and care team was the most important part of our stay, they communicated, were transparent with us, and supportive of our work toward next steps and eventual discharge to another brookdale assisted living property. We are incredibly grateful to have been able to work with the team and staff at Brookdale and thankful for their care and support. Recommend this facility to help with your loved ones, also recommend leaning in with kindness and warmth to any team you seek advisement and support from - there is no way to be disappointed when everyone is collectively on the same team to support your loved one.
Was generally happy with the general staff, nursing staff and physical therapists. Very happy with the staff doctor. The food was quite good. The room was comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is that the rooms be cleaned more thoroughly top to bottom between occupants. The blinds and high horizontal surfaces hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the room smelled musty.
