This is the first time we as a family have ever had with temporary assisted transition at a nursing home. Shortly after my mother was admitted, I had the pleasure of meeting the Director (Mr. Santana) and Co-director (Ms. Adriana Sanchez). Both were extremely welcoming entertaining any questions we had as a family. They offered to be of any further assistance in whatever way we needed and made themselves readily available at our convenience. Staff was very friendly and encouraged us to reach out to them with whatever our mother needed during her stay and while under their care. Naturally being they it was the first time that we as a family dealt with a nursing home, we had a lot of questions and requests which were both answered and dealt with accordingly. I’d highly recommend Las Alturas Nursing Home to anyone in need of such care for a loved one in Laredo, Texas. Thank You Ms. Sanchez and Mr. Santana for providing us with a pleasant experience and for caring for our mother.
A family member needed additional care transitioning home from the hospital. They got the best care and completely healed while at this facility. Everyone was attentive and knowledgeable. I would probably suggest better in house communication but other than that, it was a great experience. The place is always clean and homey. I would definitely recommend.
I went to get information about transferring a family member to this location. I was told to leave my contact information and that I would receive a call back. Over 2 weeks went by and I never received a call so I went back again and was told the lady was out to lunch and to leave my information again. Hours went by and still nothing so I went back again. The director of admissions (Adriana Sanchez) came out and said that she didn't have any beds available. I told her that we had been waiting weeks and she could have called to just say that instead of keeping us waiting. Then she said very rudely that she is very busy. Absolutely rude customer service. If that's how they treat people that aren't even elderly or staying there, I cant imagine the resident treatment. And after reading the other reviews, I am so glad that there were no beds available. A sign from God.
Adriana, my dad, and I toured the nursing home and got a really good vibe from the place. We spent some time in the common areas, where a few residents were relaxing and chatting. My dad liked the outdoor patio…it felt peaceful and inviting. Overall, the environment seemed calm and caring. Adriana was especially supportive throughout the visit very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable.
I had a truly wonderful experience at Las Alturas Nursing Home. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and cared for. Their communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring — which made a big difference during my visit. What really stood out was their attentiveness to both the residents and visitors. Every question I had was answered with patience and kindness. It's clear that the team here is not only professional but genuinely compassionate. Thank you to everyone at Las Alturas for making my visit so pleasant!
