Problems could be fixed with a better administration than what is here who will fix the problems. The staff refused to do my bath earlier in the shift and they know that they will use the excuse that it got too busy to leave without providing me with my bath and then they false document and say that I refused to take a bath. Then I have knotted hair being bedbound and they won't comb my hair and my facility provided comb is broken. I have to ask the CNA and beg the staff for water 4 or more times just to get some water and the water has been off due to CONSTRUCTION and they are using it as a reason for not doing anything, because the water is always off. I'm on oxygen 5 Liters and they won't get an electrician to fix the power in my room, and so the power circuit breaker keeps getting tripped off and my oxygen stays off until someone fixes the tripped electrical panel box. I got a fungus infection from some cream from the wound care nurse and I had to go to the hospital for awhile and now I am still fighting the fungus infection that continues to spread and day shift does the treatment close to 7pm at the end of their shift but night shift wants to do the same treatment around midnight and it's supposed to be done every 12 hours and they are not treating everything but the worst spots. Now they claim the doctor wants my oxygen down to 2 liters rather than 5 liters and my oxygen saturation is in the 70s and I am a DNR but if I die here then I want them charged with neglect and voluntary murder. The other nursing homes share the same staff and it doesn't help moving and my parents are in a different nursing home and they have a lot of problems there. But Jason Gerard Administrator and Amy Street DON won't monitor the nursing staff and supervise them as required by law. They jump the gun and assume this or that is happening rather than spending time asking why am I doing this a certain way or what is happening. The state is a laugh because they have to receive hundreds of complaints before they even show up and give them the tiny slap on the wrist.
It took us a while ,as a family, to write this review. Our love one was here and we loved the activity department because they did an extraordinary job with keeping the residents engaged in meaningful activities. Our mother also enjoyed the meals served here. We made the decision to move our love one out of this facility after an incident that could've of been avoided if the assisted nursing staff were more attentive to our love one while in the shower. Even after multiple meetings with the administration staff and other nursing staff members regarding placing socks on her feet, making sure her hair comb, and mouth care daily, none of this got done unless family did it or our aging mother with memory loss could "remember" to do it. After having her discharged from this facility, we were told by the financial manager here untruthful information on how to receive our love one income for the following months&the money she had left at this facility. Our family had to contact Ethica Corporation in Gray, GA to get everything resolved financially&it took a total of three months. If you decide to place your love ones at this facility, please check on them daily&if administration tells you anything, follow up to make sure it gets done.
My mother was there after a bad fall. She was treated with dignity and respect. Found the staff to be quite ready and able to assist us. La Shawn, Faye and Erica could not have been any nicer. This is an older facility but care is not compromised. Highly recommend.
I really need the information of someone that I can file a complaint against this this facility because my mom is there and I have had a meeting with the director and staff that care for my mom and nothing has changed. 7/15/2024 After giving this place a chance for 4 months, the end result was me moving my mom to another facility I don't recommend anyone putting there family in that place, I have also seen that other residents there not getting proper treatment and when I make a complaint the excuse is they are understaffed. Not all the staff was bad it is one Mrs. Betty thank you for always being professional even when my mom gave you a hard time sometimes. Please Advocate for your family if you don't no one else will. I won't get in details but this place has had me in tears a few times about my mom.
My Aunt broke her hip. Making a long story short, finally moved her to this place. OMG, drastic change in her. All the people took time to make her feel special. She is home now but she talks about all the good people that helped her. This place when above and beyond for us knowing what we had endured. This place gets it. They understand families of their loved ones must feel confident in leaving knowing their loved ones are safe.
