Please don’t take family here unless it’s a last restore. Staff is rude and very unprofessional, had to file a complaint with the state about sharing medical info with family who is not on approved list and saying my dad (John) is hard headed and stubborn. They aren’t good with communication and all around NOT a place to take your loved one.
My dad was there for about 20 days. The staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate, which made dad's stay bearable and pleasant. He received good care while he was there, and very good physical therapy. I would recommend this place for rehab.
Worse place ever my mother went here for rehab on her legs. First night she was there the nurse put diaper on her told her to use bathroom in that and then left her sit in it for hours. Instead of just letting her use bedside potty cause didn't want take time to help her out of bed. They would push on her back till hurt, pull on her arms even though it hurt her and she told them how to help lift her. But worse was Tuesday morning when due her pain meds they were just missing. Lucky my mom called me in pain saying they cant find her meds so she hasnt had any all day by that time was afternoon. The nurse spent most day trying to find or get her more with no luck. I got ahold of Jessica director of nursing told what was going on and that they needed fix it. After lengthy back and forth they gave me lame excuse that her script expired that morning that her meds wasn't lost or stolen. Which I didn't believe if that was so why take till 3 in afternoon to get her the pills wasn't till told them I was reporting it that all changed. Told them I was taking my mother out of there and wasn't going stop me. At that point they wanted us gone. I say this cause day before they informed me in order to release my mom they have to have meeting to determine if they feel she's ready go home. That change really quickly next day. After finally got the pills Jessica calls me again to tell me she talked to physical therapy and they don't feel they can help my mother any further. How things sure changed but will still be reporting this to state. Hope something gets done I feel so bad for people stuck there that has no family or voice to tell what is happening to them. Please don't send your loved ones here and if must keep close watch on them.
A family member was placed here for care. I am so glad that she was able to speak up and get us to take her out of there and back home. I am happy that she lived. There was many opportunities during a couple of days where she could have easily died as a result of their lack of care. Thank goodness she was able to communicate to family. There are some there who can not. If your loved ones are there, please keep an eye on them. Reports will be filed with appropriate agencies on the issues that happened.
Everybody from cherish greeting us at the Carr side with wheelchair to Laurie going over all of the room, rules and regulations and staff assistance to Jessica the chief nurse spending at least 30 minutes reassuring our parents that this is a safe place that cares deeply in helping people get better to Dawn Marie in the cafeteria and April and Candace in the evening shift Nursing staff have eliminated all of our fears and anxieties. We look forward to meeting Drew in physical therapy, praying, and hoping that our father Art will implement the exercise regiment given to him so he can go home and have a quality of health!
