We had a wonderful visit with mom over the week of her birthday. We celebrated her 91st birthday with cupcakes and ice cream for all. She could certainly hear everyone singing Happy Birthday to her with such exuberance!! The nursing staff was efficient and really good with mom. I am constantly amazed at how well she follows their direction during her personal care. This didn't just happen. It took patience and time for her to trust them. The food was excellent, as usual and mom eats quite well as evidenced by her stable weight. The housekeeping/laundry do a wonderful job of keeping her room clean and her laundry pristine and accounted for. Nursing administration are friendly and willing to provide whatever is needed to keep mom safe and comfortable. The executive director is always readily available and deals with issues as they arise. The front desk staff are approachable, informative and have a good sense of humor. Maintenance department doesn't get mention often but the 400s unit was up and running as if never having been invaded by Mother Nature. Last, but certainly not least, Mel, the activities director is one of the best I've seen. She works hard to fill in the hours between when the residents wake and when they turn in for the night. Music, movies, fun creative crafts, themed parties and celebrations. She is a ray of sunshine on even a gloomy day. My visit left me feeling mom is cared for and loved and that my concerns are heard. I'm so glad she is at Lifecare!!

This facility is a dimond in the rough! Rehabilitation in this facility is one of the best around! My wife has been here for two weeks and the facility has preformed wonderfully in getting her on her feet and moving around! The office personal are informative and know their stuff! If you're looking for a rehabilitation facility give them a try. Take a tour and listen to what they have to offer.

I stopped into meet with an Individual this morning. I asked directions to her room from the receptionist. To my surprise, the individual I was to visit had passed away yesterday morning. The receptionist was very professional and sympathetic in giving me the news.

This is one of the worst facilities I have ever encountered. My mom was here for a little while. Starting with administration...its all trash. There is not enough staff to properly care for the residents. My mom was very sick and was always cold and was not allowed to have a heating blanket yet staff would constantly complain about her asking for more blankets. My mom was extremely weak yet staff told her if she couldn't get herself off of the toilet she would just sit there until she figured out how to get herself off of the toilet. My mom had an appointment that staff arranged transportation for...staff sent the wrong resident for my mom's appointment. The excuse was they had similar names. My mom's medication and this other residents medication also got mixed up. Life care is a joke. This is a place that is suppose to take care of people who are sick but that definitely is not the case. It takes a special type of person to work in health care and none of the staff at life care should be working in health care.
