My father passed away in January of 2013 I know late for a review but every single person took great care of him while he was still with us. They all knew me and each of my children by name! They made us feel like family too. And when he passed one guy that worked that night stayed by my side the whole time I was there just so I wouldn’t be alone. It has been 12 long years and I still remember our experience with them. I gotta say by far they are the best place for a loved one to be at!!! I honestly can’t say anything about the price of the long term care or short term care because it’s been 12 years. But I would 1000% recommend this place to anyone. My mother was in different nursing homes and they were nothing compared to this one. Loved this place and how they took care of my father and how at the time invited us to go on a few trips and outings with them.

I can say, from personal experiences, that this skilled nursing care facility is by far the best in the area. I would even go as far as to say that it’s the best in the state. My mother was recently hospitalized for lung/breathing issues, and even flown by Medical Evac to the Bloomington IU Hospital and placed in the intensive care unit. Thankfully she has since returned to full health, and I’m certain that the care she received at this facility was responsible for her quick recovery. Immediately after her discharge from the hospital she was transferred to this facility, and I was terribly worried that she wouldn’t get the care she needed. I visited her everyday and personally observed the extremely high level of care and support that she needed for her recovery. In fact, she recovered in HALF the amount of time that her doctors said it would take, thanks to the care she received, including both the physical therapy and nursing care, at this facility. I can honestly say that I would absolutely feel safe with placing any of my family members at this place, and would recommend the same to anyone I know. I met with both the Executive Director and the Director of Nursing at multiple locations before settling on this facility. Of all the places I looked into, this one was the most professional and cleanest place I found. The staff is amazing and I was always greeted with a smile when I entered. Bottom line: this facility is second to none. I am forever grateful and will forever be in favor of this facility over any other in the state of Indiana.

My 91 year old father recently became quite ill and was in and out of the hospital from December 28 - January 27. We knew he was not able to return to his home until he had his strength back. I had the terrible task of telling him I thought he needed to go to a Nursing Home. I made a point of telling him we just needed him to get strong enough to go home and to be able to enjoy his life like he did before December 2019. He was devastated by the thought of being put in a Nursing Home. He had always been so independent and able to take care of himself. When I had to leave him at Mitchell Manor the day he arrived, I was broken hearted. And he was sad. But I can honestly tell everyone that it was the best move I could have made. My Dad walked out of Mitchell Manor on February the 7th a new man. He had strengthened his body (arms and legs) through their wonderful physical therapy program. He was served three nourishing and delicious meals a day. They made sure his medicine was given out in a timely manner. And he socialized with both the staff and other residents at the Facility. With every visit and phone call I could see and hear the strength coming back. He sounded and looked younger and like his old self! It was amazing. And he will also tell you that it was just what he needed. No one wants to go into a Nursing Home, but if I ever had to go to one, I would hope that it had the loving, caring staff the Mitchell Manor has. They treat their residents like family and by the time Dad left he knew all of their names and who their parents and grandparents were. I have not seen my Dad socialize that much since Mom passed away in May of 2016. I think they all enjoyed the history he shared with them of Orange and Lawrence Counties. I have no regrets of signing him into Mitchell Manor and I know he has no regrets of being there. I would like to thank everyone that works at Mitchell Manor for taking such good care of my Dad. From Natasha who talked me through the entire process to the many that made sure Dad had a fresh glass of ice water every time they walked by his room. The Physical Therapy Staff were amazing. They knew just how to get Dad to participate in the exercises his body needed. Dr. Lopez for checking in on him. His nurse for getting his meds to him. I wish I could personally thank everyone, but YOU ALL know what an impact you made on "Jay's" life. None of you will ever be forgotten by our family. You were ALL there at a time in our lives when we did not know what to do. Thanks from the bottoms of our hearts!

I highly recommend recommend Mitchell Manor for anyone considering a nursing home either for themselves or a loved one. My daughter was there for physical therapy and the physical therapy department was fantastic, then I broke bones in my foot and while in the hospital they said I would need physical therapy. I told the hospital staff that I wanted to go to Mitchell Manor because of how well my daughter was doing. The very next day Zach, the Director of Admissions for Mitchell Manor walked in my hospital room and said it was all set up. I was very impressed. And I continued to be impressed the moment I arrived at Mitchell Manor. My room was excellent, the staff was amazing. The nurses, CNAs, housekeeping, physical therapy, and management staff were all the very best! They all made my stay with broken bones bearable and even pleasant. These people at Mitchell Manor are top notch in my book.

Wonderful staff. Very caring and loving. Goes out of their way to make sure you are making progress and are comfortable. Nurses and the nurses aids are the best there are in care. Therapy helps you get back to yourself and really gets your strength up. Only place I would recommend.
